I've seen and held both of those guitars, I'm lefty so couldn't play them, but one day he brought the first guitar (around the time of this video) we were learning a bruno mars tune and after teaching us the chords he just went off on some insane shred lick Casswell style and flicked on that switch. I've never heard anything so beautiful. after he had finished he said " and that kids is magic, but dont over jizz it and look like a twat". I love this man and all the stuff he has taught me. You will be missed Michael.

So glad to see the Valley Arts style guitars can be had once again. That's part of the reason I have the Music Man Luke, kinda the new version of those old girls.

Who's Valley Arts guitar is in this video then? Mike's red sunburst one has a maple board
@cwilkins20138 жыл бұрын
i think he may have two, i believe ive seen both maple and ebony board

It was his. It was Steve Lukather's signature, and Mike being the biggest Luke fan had to have it. I believe he swapped a MusicMan lukather for it, on top of a bit of cash. Mike had no shortage of Pre-Samick Valley Arts. RIP Michael Casswell

cxwilks mike had 7. This was his too.

I'm sold. Where do I buy one? To be fair if I had the cash I would order one straight away. Great review of a great guitar, just one thing..... What's the fingerboard radius? Mike says the frets are 6105 but what's the curve on the board? It is a fabulous looking thing

It's a stratocaster with a floyd rose assembly.
@blcouch2 жыл бұрын
And a sustainer, and a coil split, and attention to detail that a hand built guitar has and lastly, direct lineage to excellent guitars that were heard on many hundreds of songs you heard on the radio. If you spec a Warmoth neck/body/trem with similar specs and paint, you’re looking at $1600. Then you have to add pickups and wiring. THEN you have to actually assemble the parts correctly. You didn’t make a very convincing point, argument or anything.

tom is probably the best they have..ever had...having said that..this depends on availability I guess(nothing against Caswell)
@metallica36048 жыл бұрын
+electrixladyland69 see it's a choice thing..but if you have to compare..there are must be tangible parameters like Technical ability, knowledge of music and versatility and intangangible parameters like feeling and unique ness that one brings..in technical things tom wins all the way..in feeling I can't have an opinion...uniqueness Tom Brings in much more than Michael( my opinion).. so well make what you can of it

Great playing for a noneless great guitar. Cost ? It's the price of built to order by the master himself. For the absolute aficionados of one of the original 2500, there are still a few that pop out here and there on the used market. If you are lucky… ;-) \m/

Why do you say that? Have you ever played a guitar with EMG's? Emg's off a wide pallet of tone choice for ALL types of styles and music. I love them..
@DarkVelizar8 жыл бұрын
I own the SL20 set and owned in the past the david gilmour set. All I can say there is no dynamics, its all sterile to me. Never liked active pickups. Lace Sensors beat EMG all day every day !
