IGX800 Engine Bogging Down- Modified Ignition Coil Replacement

We started having trouble with our IGX800 bogging down under a load. After some research, we determine the ignition coils were failing. We reached out to Ameitech & they sent us replacement coils with a modified resistor.

I have 2 IGX800s. I had the same problem with both mine. Changed out both coils and on both less than 200 hours and it fixed the problem. Changed out plugs and fuel filters too. My plugs was fouling bad.

The rumor is that Honda corrected the coils. I hope my replacements last a lot longer. Thanks

That bog could be pump safety related. The igx800s have a protection on them for low water flow. Seems like that censor could be faulting when you open and close flow at your ball valve. For instance if you run too small nozzles on an 800 it’ll protect itself and not run non stop. I think it’s that censor. Also with the 800s take advantage of the ECU when you can. If mine ever have issues I take mine to an Advance auto and get a computer check
