I dealth with bats regularly while renting a room during my uni years. It was in the slightly high basement of a large house and all the windows had these heavy security shutters on them. The bats would end up stuck between the shutters and the window during the summer, because I'd leave them open just a little bit to vent, and then open the window just a bit as well. The bats, other than being scared because they were stuck, where adorable and pretty clingy once they realized I wasn't going to hurt them but wanted to help them out. OFC I took necessary precautions because rabies, but honestly, bats are timid, adorable and cuddly. Unless you're a fruit or an insect.

About the desert, then skiing, then desert thing--Arizona has some very weird terrain that basically means it has a desert and really good skiing mountains. It takes about 3-4 hours (sometimes less, if traffic is good) to get from said desert to the mountains. So while it may seem stupid, that part of the movie is actually true to life if it's based in AZ.

I always forget how much MST3K edits out of the movies when they riffed them. That fact that the cop tries to rape the wife, makes the ending make much more sense. In the edited MST3K version of the movie, it just seemed like he was a good cop trying to do his job and catch a murderer, and then he sadly gets killed in the end by the huge swarm of bats.

Your comment about how they went from the desert to snowy mountains confused me for a second, but then I realized you've probably never been to the Western parts of the US. Funny thing: In states like Colorado and Utah (pretty much any place with the Rocky mountains), you can literally go from 70° F (21°C) at the bottom of the mountain, in the desert, then go up a nice ski lift right into a snowy 20-30°F (≈-3°C). Come to Colorado, where you can go skiing in July!

I have nothing to complain about except for it's tank controls and the questionable music choice that Yuji Naka (after Sonic & Knuckles producer at Sega of Japan) for some reason approved. www.unseen64.net/2008/04/10/sonic-r-saturn-beta/ It's really forgettable and boring. I probably just can't angry about it because I've played much worse games. SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (2006) for Xbox 360/Playstation 3 and Sonic Lost World (3DS) are abominations though.
