I think the reason why Guardians had such bad sound design is that the sound effects were also in Russian and needed to be translated. English speaking countries don't understand Russian punch sounds.

We know nothing about this, there is no lore, and yet they still added a post credit scene BECAUSE MARVEL DOES IT SO WE SHOULD TOO 4) also, apparently they have dubbed some of the scenes over in the Russian version as well, so there’s that that is a beautifully terrible movie and I don’t think that anyone actually watched it un ironically, even in Russia edit: had to fix a minor spelling mistake. oh well

Appealing to the masses, well when I was young, I thought it looked remarkably similar to the old Roman writing. I think if you were actually charitable, you could/would understand where he was coming from, but see, you're online within the American sphere. You consume our products, media, music, fashion, news, etc. You figuratively get a window into our house; are you really going to pat yourself on the back for that? The fact he's interested in other cultures should be an invitation to enlighten, but you, you likely took it as an invitation to shit on him. I've lived or worked in several countries for years. I've noticed you have ignorant people in all of them. Hell, we had Iraqis who thought rifle scopes were laser weapons. They even put rubber on RPGs (with hilarious results) at one point because they thought we had force fields on our vehicles and the rubber would allow it to pass through. This idea of "Ultimate American" for not being exposed to a specific writing system tells me your own experience is somewhat... lacking?

Get rid of the word "bad" before CGI and you are right. The CGI in MoS was fantastic, not because it was dark but because the movie reduced its colors. Similar to BvS, but here we had so much CGI during the final battle that it shows a little bit more (I still think it was great 80 % of the time). Reduced color makes CGI blend in MUCH better with the rest of the film. Justice League completely ruined that. And Marvel constantly looks like a cartoon because they use these ugly, washed-out colors. They just took the well mixed CGI of JL and brightened the picture and turned up the colors. No wonder everything looks fake and plastic now. Fuck you, Joss Whedon and WB.

I looked down saw the new transformers movie and asked how much. "£2", he said. My dad walked up to me and said "Ask for £1, try to meet him halfway, that's called haggling." "£1?" i said sheepishly to he man. "go on then" he replied. So i get home, put on the dvd excitedly, watched 2 seconds and screamed out loud "That CUNT" This has been Lily's story corner. great vid btw.

Glad I'm not the only one who deeply enjoys GOTG 2. It's far more fun and engaging than the first one for me. The character interactions, the gorgeous aesthetics, the villain, the emotional weight, and most importantly the soundtrack sold the whole movie for me. Some jokes i loved and some i thought were completely pointless, but aside from that the movie's a total blast

Marvellizor 99 I love both movies equally but the 3rd act of Vol 2 was fantastic its the only epic scaled ending battle that had me invested

Shawn Of The Flynn O I agree. The final battle had them fighting a goddamn sentient planet. A PLANET. You don’t see that in your average sci-fi flicks everyday. Plus it was one of the few mcu movies that had an actual emotional weight to it, Yondu’s death will forever be one of the saddest deaths in pop culture history

An explanation for the very similar sounding music: Directors will often pick stand-in compositions (that are copyrighted from other movies) in order to create the desired feel for the scene for editing. It's meant to be replaced with a different composition from the hired composer, but a lot of the time the Director will be so fixed on that specific song for the scene that they will make the composer create a very similar spin off. Several interviews with composers discuss this and apparently they absolutely despise it.
@beancheesedip83376 жыл бұрын
DatK9 that's really interesting, actually, and makes a lot of sense. If you structure a scene to fit with a particular song (or vice-versa), then of course the director is going to want some form of derivitive of that song. If you try to compose a track for a scene, but its structured to be used with a specific song, then there's not really much you can do other than basically remake that song.

"Captain Underpants" is nothing compared to the masterpiece "The Guardians" The Evangelium of superhero movies. The fantastic sound design and marvellous story helped provide a amazing cinematic experience. The bear man scenes had everyone crying, him an exposed soul, afraid of ascending to full bear mode was very emotional, and the villain who provided stunning monologue of course, being a metaphore for environment pollution.
