The uncle with whom you collaborated in purchasing that JB property made decision (in altering the loan tenure) to his own benefit without regard to the implication that decision had on you, a junior partner in the deal, pushing you to the brink of bankruptcy. A person who is not respectful of a partner's financial situation is not someone we should ever partner with again.

Sean, I 've watch a lot of your videos on property investment and is still watching them as you have provided very good insight. I have also made big mistakes in investments although it is not property related and have lost considerable amount of money in them. But as you said, for every mistakes we made, we are to be accountable to it and not all mistakes are gloom and doom as there are also valuable lessons to be learned from it to make one become stronger, wiser and better in future. So Sean keep making these informational videos and rest be assured of our support to your channel. All the best to you.

This is such an educational piece. Went through the entire “sell time for money” thing 2 years ago and working 17 to 20 hours a day while falling asleep infront of my laptop was the most painful thing ive ever tried to “escape” from the rat race 😂 now im past that stage and am looking for a property myself, your advice is as valuable as ever! Thanks Sean!

I am new to KL property and have been watching your videos religiously. But without doubt this is your best video ever (and the others are all very good). Thank you so much for sharing. I don't normally leave comments and hope you get to see this. IMO - Best way to make money is NOT to sell time, service or product, but is to realise money is not real. BTW - money is pretty *'ing real when you are starving with no food to eat. But I am not talking about that, I am talking about how to 'make money'. Best of luck.

Thanks for sharing your personal experience, boss. Your experience reminds of a saying that " Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face" . It is how one deals with the aftermath of the punch that separates a winner from a loser. Looks like you handled it like a CHAMP.
@andychang79272 жыл бұрын
Hey Sean, this is one of the most interesting topic that you shared. Great sharing with the experience you had and I believe a lot of people went through this and yet they don't know how to handle. Some will lead to bankrupt and worse suicide. Each of us had to be held accountability and responsible towards our own action and decision. Though that decision could be one of the biggest mistake that we made due to greed, due to trust of whoever say so due to how successful he or she is. Standing up and facing the real problem, cracking your head and thinking a way out is the right spirit that should motivate a lot of guys out there who may have encounter this issue due to some misleading "courses" or poor "advises" given. This sharing definitely motivates us to always come up with a solution and try our best to handle whatever misery or deep shit that we are in. Nobody really cares what shit you are in except for your family & friends who care for you. It's not the problem of selling at a loss as long as your objective or exit strategy is to survive. It's a mistake of the past that cost a losses of hundred thousands but the experience gained will help you in the next investment strategy that you are going for, knowing what you want is one of the most important decision that you helps to make your next decisions. Kudos to you. 🙌 🙌 💪 💪

This is as real as it can gets. Not all will meet a 贵人in life. Sean's popularity on KZbin gives him a life line and I think he mentioned before, it is one of main reason The Makeover Guys hired him. With the right connection and new higher salary, he was able to refinance his loan when many others will simply be ignored like his initial experience. Open your eyes big big when walking into property investment, learn from others mistake, and make sure you have the right connection and the right salary and the right gung-ho attitude so that it will work out fine for you.

yup, we dont have to impress anyone in our life. i dont give a damn how ppl look at me , how ppl judge me base on how i look, what i dress, what car i drive etc.. be comfortable with your life, take care your family, spend on your family instead of showing off.. dont be that idiot that spend all their money dressing up, buying accessories, 9 years loan for a car, and no money to spend on family holiday, family dinner, etc..

Thanks for your kind sharing. I was just wondering how could u go through it when I watched halfway. Yes, refinance will be the only solution. Restructuring within same bank not possible, like u said, no commission earn n a lot of work. Need justification etc. You are right to say that there is no mercy from bank. Another thing is need to check the loan doc before signing. Once sign no turning back. U cannot tell the bank u are not aware. Happy that u found someone who can help u gradually.

In hindsight you would have been hero if the deal works out right, crazy leverage. I was in similar situation too bought an apt in JB when I was younger now with about 150k paper loss. I wasnt as overly extended like you and fortunately my income is more than 10x compare to before. Admire yours guts and preserverance, very few people can come out of it and dare to touch property again. It's like people i knew that lost some money in stocks and never touch stocks again, the rich one jump right back into it.
