IIDX 6th Style (B4U JA A01)

Beatmania IIDX 6th Style introduced a decent amount of licensed Eurobeat music, and for that it remains one of my favorite mixes. In 6th style, the only major gameplay change appears to be the inclusion of hard meter as an option along with easy meter. In older versions of Beatmania IIDX, the operator would set the game meter to either normal or hard play and it was not selectable by the player. 6th Style features a more calm and refined UI, but there is no significant modification from previous releases. Another subtle improvement from 6th style onward was the upgrade from a VCD to a DVD for the background videos. Careful observation will show that the videos are now higher quality. There does not seem to be any visible differences between this and the upgraded version B01.

It was mindblowing finding out that "Retrospective Song" is a cover of an actual French pop song from the 60's.
