What they chose, or what they didn't choose has nothing to do with you. You give the impression of a person who desperately seeks for attention, and bringing down these great institutions and comparing them only showcases your immaturity. IIT is IIT, do not degrade it. Why do millions of people work so hard to crack JEE Advanced? Why is their dream IIT? Use your brain, fool. You're not the only one in the world who knows about IIsc or any other university for that matter. In the end, people choose what *they* aspire to do.. IIT produces great engineers, programmers and software geniuses. IIsc is for research, it's pure research. It produces great scientists. The world today is a mix of sciencr and technology, so both these people are necessary for the world.
