Rahul Sir, I have a little doubt. It's specified in JAM's syllabus that we only need to do the solution of Schrodinger's equation for Infinite potential well, harmonic oscillator and step function, But almost every material I've studied, be it HCV, Griffiths even MIT-OCW always solve SE for a couple other cases, namely Free particle and Dirac delta function. I also get that finite step is a special case for Dirac delta function. So my question is, Do I really need to bother with the potentials which are not given in the syllabus?

Are you sure the formula for ke of compton scattered electron is accurate. Is there a 1/2 missing in the second term of the denominator?. Can you please post the derivation for this formula.

Sir, we know that in photoelectric effect photo current depends only on the intensity of incident light, not on frequency. But in 1st problem we see that photo current increase with decrease of frequency though the intensity remain constant .... Is not it a contradiction? Please help me to remove my doubts or misconceptions

Yes, you are correct only when you vary the intensity for fixed frequency. But here the problems given is for constant intensity and vary the frequency then how the current changes. Just opposite case.
