Why I like & give priority for Bits Pilani or Bits Hyderabad or Goa is that there are no reservations in these institutions. Seats will be allotted on the merit basis only. The Chairman of the institute Kumara Mangalam Birla will not get admission for his close relatives, unless they qualify in their test set and validated by computers. India will get developed when reservations are abolished and merit is given priority.

Expenses are a bit problematic...But there are a lot of provisions even for those who have income below 10LPA...and also for below 5 or 2.5LPA....YOU can avail scholarships from 20 to 80 percent at a lower CGPA as well... I was depressed when I got to know that one of my friends who is richer than me but he was in EWS category( because his father is a businessman) scored 10k rank and he is getting decent branches in good IITs and I have scored 11k rank( I am GEN cat)but I am getting the lowest branches like applied geology at IIT Kharagpur and mining At BHU. But then also I took MSc Eco at BITS as I want a good branch. The best part is no reservation and MCN Scholarships. Fees structure is same for all. In IIT'S and NIT'S they give 100% fee waiver to category students without seeing their family income and then compensate for the fees by hiking the fees for general category students. EWS must be given 100% fee waiver not SC ST who are already rich and are studying for free. BITS is the best💯. See you on campus bhaiya❤️

And after discussing we all came to conclusions that bits pilani is only behind iit madras and iit kanpur becuase of in research and innovation happens a lots , which lacks in bits pilani a lot . bhaiya I came to know that there is a MCN scholarship provided by the institute to students whose family income is less than 8lpa. But one of my friend said this is not whole case he said that even if ur family income is less than 8LPA u will not get that scholarship , there are also many criteria . Yes, you can. Once you are eligible for MCN, you get scholarship depending on your CGPA. For example if your cg is more than 6, you'll get 40% scholarship, if your CGPA is more than 7.5, you get 60% scholarship or more, and so on...... Cut off varies from year to year

What we will get by taking the tag? Ultimately people will judge u on the basis of ur work and contribution to the society . If someone become ias , no one see his past that whether he was class 12 th failure or he was from iit or not. And even we want tag then why iit ?? And waise bhi , i have seen many students who went to iit just for placement , they hardly try to take the privilege of tag to do innovation during college time most of them kill their time , copy other assignment , study one or 2 day before semester exam . But its not like with everyone but atmost with 70-80% of population including all profile student from all branch to all domain that is btech , mtech ,etc. Atleast in those top 4 iits , only genuine student studys but except these 4 to 5 rest all the iits ( i guess there are around 22) most of there are for just names.

Cracking JEE Advance simply means you have an IQ high enough to do great things... But it doesn’t guarantee that you will do great... Like For eg Sunder Pichai studied metallurgy from iit kgp and we all knew where he is today... And I am not comparing Indian colleges with Foreign colleges like MIT, Harvard etc... Level of questions in bisat is much easier than jee mains but in nirast u have to do 150 questions in 180 min but in mains it is 75 questions in 180 min. So bitsat is more on speed than toughness. But if u prepare for jee mains u can easily get 330 above. Just do previous year question paper.

@@NikhilKumar-of5gb nice but IIT Patna is also not that much you can observe rank degraded from 10 to 26 (nirf) .I have seen many students just leave iits for cs in top colleges .there are lots of student who got 3000 ,5000 rank in advance but opted cs at top nits/bits etc and I also agreed some are just opposite what I said it is just someone personal choice. at the end only talent matters ,alumni of mnnit grabbed Amazon London and he told me that skills are most important than tag,but I respect students who really worked hard to get into iits

Bhaiya Just 1 doubt.... BITS ka Fees bahut jayda haina bhaiya... Jo log afford kar sakte hai but with loan and all toh unn logo ke liye kaya suggestions hai aapki ... And also agar aap fees bata sakte ho per year or per semester ka toh it'll be really helpful.

IIT 4 years fees is ~ 10L whereas in BITS it is ~ 17-18L. Also in BITS you have sum great merit cum need scholarships

IITs are funded by central government to some extent unlike BITS where you pay all the fee by yourself . Hence leaving students completely to their freewill about attending classes is like misusing the funds. And the attendance criteria is not same all the time it depends on professor and the course. Moreover 20 hours of classes per week (not all are mandatory to attend) won't stop you from exploring yourself. Coming to diversity.. Yes they do have more diverse community compared to BITs. Inter IIT Sport meets and Tech meets , General Championships (Tech ,Sports , Social & cultural) in colleges should help you understand what you get there apart from just academics.

All of this is available in BITS as well. There is OASIS (2nd largest cultural fest after Mood Indigo), APOGEE and BOSM and all these are completely student organised. You can get all the diversity you want and freedom to explore is more in BITS

There is no reservation or female quota in BITS Pilani(all campuses), so cutoffs are same for both boys and girls for a particular branch.

Ya, definitely you will be able to. I have many friends in IIT who are doing great in different areas 🤩 In fact, in IITs, you get Saturday off, whereas in BITS, Saturday is a half working day.... So, you get more time on weekends in IITs

Jee is more concept based. Bitsat is basics based. But u need to be fast and accurate. Focus on solving problems quickly. Bitsat is easier compared to jee. U can give it if u have thorough ncret knowledge. Nothing else required. And there is also english and logical reasoning part which is just free marks if u use common sense

@@chinman40 oy did u forget about iiit hyd cse ??? Or do you need introduction about that college ? Best coding culture in india (non college can beat this ), only college which allow research in ungrad, most no of gsoc selection and max from 1st year , highest avg package with 26.7 lpa and median 24.3 and of ece avg 20lpa and median 18.9 . Highest package from cse branch was 85lpa (its domestic ,not international as no company offer working visa in nits and iiits that is rarely mostly iits old ones and bits pilani get int package). It got best curriculum , like it takes 2.8 years to complete btech syllabus and for rest interval of time they either get involve in research part and prepare their thesis. And also it got biggest incubation cell atleast in India

BITS is better than most of the NITs and some new IITs But it is no where close to Top 7 IITs (old IITs)

Placement ko perspective mein le toh BITS top 5 iits ko takkar de deta hai ( only for cse) toh haan it is better than the top NITs but definitely not as good as the 7 old iits. Still it's a very good and a solid alternate.

@@vansh2637 Placements doesn't decide superiority of a college. Placement wise IIITH and IIITA are significantly better than BITS Pilani. But we look at many different factors as well. Anyways the main point is, BITS is definitely a great college, but no Indian college is comparable to IISc and Top 7 IITs. That's it

@@darthvader3946 obviously that's what I stated that BITS is a great place and surely placements don't decide superiority all i was trying to state is that BITS has its pros and surely it is not as good as the beasts like IISc and 7 Old IITs. BITS gives you an ample amount of exposure, has a great startup culture. More than 10 of the india's unicorns are from BITS. Plus it feels like as if you are one of those people who don't see anything other than those old IITs there's a whole new world beyond IITs and their tag. The tag proves out to be valuable but in the long run everyone from those good colleges end up at the same spot and now don't start giving examples of sundar and arvind yeah IITs too are great no doubt but other institutes have a repu too. One of my cousins is studying at IIT D mech. He himself stated that it would have been better for him if he would have chosen BITS pilani cse over mech. Rise up from this mentality of IITs are superior. Those top 10 ones are equally good. the marginal difference between cream colleges was there 20 years back but it surely did and is slowly declining.

He did his master's from Stanford and MBA from Wharton, that's what mattered for him. I already stated BITS is a great college, then what's the need to write such a stereotypical answer???? I did my bachelor's from an average college and currently studying in a college much better than IIT Bombay. Don't tell me about differences

Taking dual degree only assures your Msc branch then u have to perform well in the first year to get ur desired branch of B.E. At the end of first year dualites will have to fill a form of preference of B.E. degrees and later on CGPA cutoff decides which B.E. branch are u going to get.

@@satyb1692 i think that would be easy to get CSE as yatharth bhaiya said that we need to score 8-8.5 CGPA which is quite a difference from the 10 CGPA we have to score for branch change. However, good things come at a price, the price here is One Extra Year with the extra high fees that BITS requires.. However , let's see ,how my exam goes..

Highest can be above 1CR if u wanna go Non-Core...and code all day...There have been quite some 3-4 cases in recent 4 years.... And You have SCHOLAR LOAN OPTIOn..that means lesser interests..PLUS...You have an ROI not on your initial package...BUT ..on the brand..the enjoyments...the future prospects and...THE 30-40 year Working LIfe one has Overall MECH average is 11LPA...But its same for almost all colleges...PLUS you get THE THIRD BEST ALUMNI NETWORK...after(IITB,IITD)...and you have amazing MS and starup oppurtunities...abroad and MBA stuff in INDIA also

Ya, mechanical core placement might not be very high but it's descent. The top core placement in mechanical in the previous year was 22lakh, which is really great considering a job in India. Also, you search for other avenues after coming to college, and make a career in non core..
