At @32:00 if pressure term is more dominating than viscous and intertia term how can it be zero? Mathematically i know we can ignore such terms but if pressure grad itself stands to zero then how can other terms be more smaller/less? Is it like if pressure term is 0.01 then viscous terms are 0.00001? Also in X & Y momentum equation we took order of pressure energy as order of kinetic energy. Well thats alright but why X comp of velocity is taken? why not velocity V ( vector V)

why cant we divide inertial term by viscous term to have an idea about reynlod no. , which by the way come in form of (del)^2/L ..Which will be less than 1 ?

due to cohesion between plate(solid) and 1st layer of fluid with plate
@shaiksaidulu59
@shaiksaidulu59 8 жыл бұрын
due to roughness of the plate or surface the nearest molecules of fluid will stick with surface, and the molecules which are just away from surface are due to cohesion between the molecule to molecule.....the velocity varies
@Supersixers6

because of viscosity is more. viscosity acts like a friction and it oppose the layer of fluid flow over on it

AT 35 HOW COME PRESSURE GRADIENT IS ZERO . HE SAID DOMINATING WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY DOMINATING
@Seriouslyfunny1
@Seriouslyfunny1 4 жыл бұрын
Velocity v is very small compared to u. This means u is dominating with respect to v. Therefore in the two equations, dp/dx will have a larger value compared to dp/dy in the other equation. This term WILL have some finite value, but for engineering purposes, it's value is insignificant with respect to dp/dx. So we take dp/dy = 0

Thats the reason you are in a private college. You won't get a better illustration about this topic in KZbin. I believe you may end up as a non technical person. And don't give any slangs about any IIT faculties. Because to do that you do not have that capability
