So refreshing to see African women pursuing their education and pursuing their careers. Also great that your husband is so supportive - very inspiring.

I am not sure if this is too specific but it will be really interesting to hear about your process of creating your course and maybe how your PhD helped you to figure out what content to focus on and the kind of reading to assign. Also looking forward to more post doc vlogs

Currently in my second year at USC getting my Masters in Public Health w/ a focus in Health Policy and Health Services! Love the “is healthcare and right or a privilege” debate! Lol. Just wanted to say thanks for motivating me to document my academic journey as well! Can’t wait for this series! 🤎

I’m a new PhD. Was offered an assistant professorship at a school in Alabama, but I didn’t want to leave Atlanta, so I ended up accepting a lectureship at a school here. Watching this series, I felt like I should’ve did a postdoc instead. . . Anyway, I’m just trying to say that I appreciate your content! Thanks.

Anyway, I love how you carried your comforter on your back while making the bed. It's always seeing you accomplish so many things in life as a WOC. Question, on the days when you aren't lecturing, what does your day at the university look like or are you usually home?

I teach Mondays and Wednesdays. On Tuesdays I go in to the office and basically do the same thing except I work on my own research. Thursday and Friday I work from home and do a mix of my own research, blog work, and Cohort Sistas work
