I only use mine in rank 5.7 to hunt cruisers. I keep my mains guns focused on aircraft. the speed and maneuverability make Shimakaze a difficult target for large ships to hit.

She quite literally screams 'Torpedo destroyer' I'd love to snipe enemys in enduring comfrontatiin at long range Sank once a spee with a 15km torp snipe, felt really amazing (and was a Stiupid way to die for spee)

A bit of an issue with the video is the belts for the 25mm guns, I actually find APT belts kill more planes via destroying engines/spars/pilots. The HE belt tends to just 'spark' enemies to death. In fact the HEI shells in the HE belt are the worst HE shells the gun has to offer, with only 5.5 grams of TNT. The HEF-T shells have 8.5 grams of TNT. Finally the HEF (NOT found in the HE belt) has 16.5 grams of Tetryl, which equals out to 23 grams of TNT.

Great video. One of my favorite DD, I always got a doubt Shima was made from a Kagero or Yugumo hull? I know Yugumo is basically a Kagero with more AA guns

I highly recommend it especially for a 4.0/5.0 enduring confrontations starter ship. I played EC without it and let me tell you jap fire power lacks and if your not using the type 93 torpedo you'll get knocked around before you get close to your launching window especially because in open water when a 7.0 sees you at over 50000ft You might want to think about evasive maneuvers, played two games with it on EC and it got shit done. being able to launch 15 type 93 torpedoes at a time after each reload without having to angle for each launch is great they hit hard almost go 60mph and have a max travel distance of around 49000ft tbh I don't really use the guns on it unless I'm reloading torpedoes and even at that I tend not to shoot often while playing the ship just to be little sneaky after all there is no need to try and engaging ships with more guns and more armor from a long distances let your torpedoes do their work.

I like them, it's like having a baby Sumner at 4.0. Great firepower, which is my favorite aspect to have on a vehicle. I'll be reviewing it once I get both of them spaded.

Flipped StuG well that’s basically a brawler as it got excellent rate of fire and turret rotation and lots of AA mounts the torpedos will help u to survive and kill cruisers in uptiers but the shells does suffer like all other IJN DDs though
