Just added it to my project. It works great! Thanks for the amazing work. This is going to save so much time for my animations. P.S. For those who are getting errors when trying to snap! (I'm not sure if this was addressed in the video or not. If so my apologies) Make sure the name of your Armature in the object properties tab (The orange box) and the Armature Object DATA properties tab (The green Armature figure) are the same otherwise the script can't find the armature you're trying to use.

Snapping from FK to IK works fine but from Ik to fk doesn't work. I'm running blender 3.2. Could that be the problem?

This addon looks fantastic! It's kind of baffling that Blender doesn't have a feature built in to handle IK-FK snapping automatically, as it seems like such an obvious thing to include.

Hey could you help me out. Im trying to apply your script to my rig but its giving me an error everytime I try to snap the fk/iks. KeyError: 'bpy_prop_collection[key]: key "Armature (pmc-4.qc_skeleton)" not found' Armature (pmc-4.qc_skeleton) being my armature name. Any idea how I could fix this?

I using this addon so much and its really helpful, but I have one tip and feedback, in armature filed where you input your armature and after the all config to switch , you need to create a preset to change between arm fk-ik left and right side, and the same thing to legs, so you will have 4 preset, but, I note that the preset is saved in the blender preferences, so when I open other project with other character and other armature the same preset is there, and I think this is a problem, because if I change the preset and return to my first project, will be change too I think, so how save the preset only in the one project ??? have any idea?? or it will be implement some solution in the future?

Whenever I attempt to use the snap it gives me a key error: bpy_prop_collection[key]: key "(character name) Robot Rig" not found. I could use some help. Edit: I fixed it. The error was because my rig and armature's name within the container were not identical. It works now. P.S. if and when you make an updated version, may I suggest you add functionality to snap additional bones such as foot roll bones. Because as is if the ik foot is foot rolled and you snap IK to FK you have to manually reset the foot roll. Preferably the IK to FK snap could be set up to reset any amount of additional bones as my rigs usually have two foot roll controllers. One to tilt the foot side-to-side, roll forward and back, and rotate in and out on the heel and a second bone to move and pivot the foot by the tip of the toes. As is it isn't the end of the world. It would just be nice.

At the moment the addon only works with two-bone chains. I'd like to add support in the future to have an arbitrary number of IK/FK bones in a chain plus the end control

Unfortunately not easily at this stage, the script at the moment is limited to two-bone IK chains. How many bones in your leg do you have? I'll investigate if it is possible to use an array of bones instead.

Each preset you save should have the armature saved as well. This does mean you can use this with multiple characters but the presets list may get a bit full. I'd like to add per-armature preset filtering at some stage.

I figured it out, if you want IK snap to FK you have to put Up-Arm FK and IK in the same place
