Yeah you say you’re not going to get that shattering low end but did you try? I watched another video about the unit and they used a spectrometer and said the frequencies were very low... if you plug into an amplifier then it will be as loud as you want, so your. statement just doesn’t have any basis.

It's a pretty good synth BUT: A word of warning if you're buying (or selling) this piece of gear: To get full access to the editor and functionality you'll need an UNUSED serial number (provided on a piece of paper inside the box, not on the product itself). I bought a used one and this is the response I got from IK: "Unfortunately, as this product was purchased second hand we cannot offer you a new serial number. However, the original owner can purchase a License Transfer Credit to unlock this for you." I was willing to pay for access but they refused since I wasn't the original owner. IK Multimedia certainly views the second hand market as their sworn enemy!

Could you say that you can make most of the normal synth sounds from electropop and synthpop with this? I mean Cars by Gary Numan, Forever Young, the model......

Ĵust be advised, this is a mono synth. That means only one note at a time. Maybe can do the bass and leads from synthpop, but you would need a polyphonic synth and probably a fm synth like korg volca (very 80s sound)

Have to admit, I've been more or less "meh" about what I've heard from this synth so far. Not that it's bad for the price but just not inspired by it. But there were a few things here that made me take notice. I don't think I love the amp envelope very much but when it drones and you add some nice harmonic variance, it becomes pleasing to my ears. Thanks for the review.

I have one and have been playing with it the last few days- one thing that I really like that is something that you can do with the volca keys as well (though you can do this per step) is to record just the knob movements in the sequencer. It works especially well with the osc pitch to create drift if you play it live and then run the sequencer.

Me too I have to agree there's too many setbacks that I have heard in this video the price is good but even if it was$50 it's only good for a few things but there's a lot of other things that really annoy me so far from here in this video hopefully maybe an update will fix those things I'm searching for new videos but the new videos I have heard so far seems to do the same thing I would like to get it but I don't know still thinking about it did you end up getting one?

Hello mate,Is it easy to plug IK in my Ableton set up?..what i'm trying to say is i'm fed up with all that Roland Boutique installations c**p....don't get me wrong i love Rolands but i hate all that firmware updates,drives and all stuff..lol Sorry,i'm a noob with synthesis :)

nearly every synth is going to require firmware updates at some point. this is as easy as the boutiques to sync but audio isn't over usb so you do have to use an interface (which you really should have if you don't yet.

That's better than nothing I guess, but frankly, requiring a computer to edit such important parameters (or any parameters, really) seems like pretty poor design.... The sad thing is that it would have been pretty easy to do it right: just add another LED, make the knobs be "ADSR", and have the envelope select button toggle between filter and amp envelopes (lighting up the appropriate LED). I guess it's a cheap synth, so they were a little slipshod about things, it leaves a bad taste.
