That little thing that kinda looks like a mouth is called a siphon. It is used to propel the squid by sucking in water from 2 holes in the sides.

In the show, it fires energy that forms all the zords present, 10 zords comprised of energy unleashed in a pretty awesome sequence, a combo of animation & a practical effect that reminds me of the original Ultrazord finisher.

I have Ebi and Ika on the way from ebay and they are taking their time. In the show Ika Shinken-Oh freezes the enamy then Slashes them not stab. Out of all the Origami Shinken-Oh Ebi and Ika are the only good looking ones I have Shinken-Oh already just waiting for Ika and Ebi
