For instance, Sigurd freely talks about regretting leaving a son behind in death, but the Sigard featured in the game is cleared an embodiment of the Sigard from early in his campaign. The emblems in this game can remember any part of their lives without their "ghost like" form from reflecting an age outside their prime. So this Soren should know what happened in his life, including Radiant Dawn. I honestly think he is just that much of an asshole to straight up ignore other people from his previous life that wasn't Ike.

Tbaf, the JP side of FE basically semi confirmed that they're semi-canon. Heck, Ike was basically confirmed to love Soren in the Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Memorial Book Tellius Recollection: The Second Volume (2016) art book. Their dialogues in the eng version was heavily wattered down compared to the jp version, and even then it can still be seen as very romantic coded. Ike/Soren has a LOT of fuel backing them up

Such a thing never happens in Ike x Soren. I'm talking about the people who get attached to an idea they like about a pairing and confuse it with fact. Just putting those people on blast because no matter how strongly they feel about it, it doesn't change the fact that no pairing in the entire series is canon...EVER.

@@cordiroybear yeah you're right with the there are no canon paired ending, but the whole discourse is more than whether ikesoren is canon or not, is the whole deal of Ike's heavy implication of homosexuality due to his endings being two men, so yeah there are no canon ending but no one argues against Marth being straight bcs of his endings on the same level people do with ike

@@tabrisflyway Fair point, I guess that kinda makes sense to me. Also, thanks for trying to explain a bit more. See, my first time playing RD, Ike's ending was him wandering the land alone. The entire crew died during the battle with Ashera in my first play through, Ike was the only Grail Mercenary left... It was super tragic. lol. Just proves what I said about everyone playing differently, had I never gone back and replayed it again, I wouldn't even know why these people think that about Ike. I personally never got that vibe. lol.

Honestly, to imply that is actually pretty gross because it reduces their bond to a purely sexual one. Anyone who actually played PoR/RD and paid attention knows that their connection runs much deeper than simply wanting to sleep together.

Ike is either gay and they just couldn't write that story in 2006, or asexual. Heterosexual is the least likely scenario.
