Dear Fern we are all different in how we think. We had friends that decided to live in Dijon for 10 years. The husband was french and she just couldn’t learn french…it was a mental block. He wasn’t very helpful. so she use to use i translate all the time and picked up a few phrases. She hated school too. So its okay to just pick up what you can. You have your own talents, which are amazing. Hugs to You.

🎉HB #11, Nancy🎉 so fun to watch you pick out your desk/pegboard designs. The tan wood top is a nice contrast & looks nautical - I hope you got the bed & bedding set on the display- the Navy blue/white print duvet would look cool! Maybe even yellow pillows 💛💙to compliment with Navy blue- so fresh & clean with white ☀️⚓️⛵️ I’m hoping you consider my vision for your room, Nancy, & go "girlie nautical" 😂even add a little crystal chandelier! Seth - crushing on your Dodger hoodie- I grew up going to Dodger games in LA. I like your choice of bedding & pegboard/Black/white. I have no kids at home anymore, Fern, so I miss helping them design a bedroom! 😅 I’ve never gone to IKEA - can you believe it?! I’ll have to take a wander there. I like the fridge organizers for fruit & cheeses. KFC is something I would avoid - I don’t know how they stay open anymore here- so I can’t blame you for eating at home, Fern! I prefer Chick-Fil-A grilled chicken wraps in our ATLanta suburb. Thanks for the fun vlog!

I have 2 ikea trolleys, one in the kitchen with the wooden lids to keep onions, potatoes and spices. And one in my craftroom for my craft supplies. They are so strong and durable. It's one of better Ikea items. The white top you want for the desk is not that strong, it will damage really easy. I would go for a solid wooden top, that you varnish.

Bonjour 🌄 🌞 🎶🎶🎶 Happy Birthday dear Nancy 🎵🎶🎵🎶 happy birthday to you! 🎵🎵🎶🎶 Where does the time go? It's amazing ! 🎉 🎂 11years! 🎈 🎈 Such fun with adventures in ' Ikealand !! '.Definitely a complete style change in Nancy's room. The word practical comes to mind! That's progress! To have an organized fridge is a gift 🎁 . Thanks for the visit.(Re: your French class, Fern darling be calm... Slow and steady wins the race! And there is no deadline on this! The class will end . However, the bones of the structure needs only to be acknowledged. It is all arbitrary.No need to panic! I believe there might have been some horrible teacher that might of labeled you,in the past! You are brilliant! Believe that ! It's just another subject, keep that in mind! How much have we learned about nutrition & wellness from your study? Lots& lots! If you learn the sound of the alphabet in French, phonetically, ALL of the sounds of each letter & memorize that, it will help. It is all memory, the words that you learn in each session. Drill them down. Say it out loud to yourself. Over and over and over again. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Mindlessly repeat & in that way, they will be how you think.). ❤❤❤❤. 🐕🐈 Les chiens sont jolie dans le nouveau appartement. Au revoir mon Ami!

Great idea and if she had a friend who’s French she can chat with. On occasion. I’m going to France next May but there for just a week. Hang in there on the language learning bit. Massive input is the way to go for those of us who learn languages ‘differently’. If I may suggest giving Francaise Authentique a try. I have only heard about it as I’m learning Italian through massive input. The grammar has to come naturally to me - I can’t learn it from a book. I’m twice your age and just moved to Italy. I’ve been learning Italian for a while now and feel that Language needs to be absorbed. Just wanted give you some encouragement…. Bon chance or should I say in Bocco al lupo!

Loving the videos- i struggle with French so feel your frustration- I live in Mougins and struggling to find a language school could you let me know where you study please. ❤
@bernicehorne38273 ай бұрын
If you’re struggling with learning French try to find the Michel Thomas Method. It’s a listening course, no pen and paper at all. I struggled also until Michel taught me the structure of the language,how to put it together and how to listen for sounds of the verb endings to identify the tense. Most tenses only have three sounds eg. if you hear ray, rah, ron at the end of a verb it’s future tense. Try to get the original version with Michel talking as it’s better. Repeat listen until you understand every bit. Michel is teaching two beginner students, you will be the third. The penny will drop for you with regards putting sentences together. Learning vocabulary will be easy as you’re surrounded by it.

Ive been a teacher for years and taught English as a second language in Hong Kong for many years. You might fare better doing conversation only. You need to decide what your goal is, if you just want to be able to communicate orally, you might fare better having conversational classes in a more relaxed setting. Learning all the sentence structure, conjugating verbs etc is a bit of a slog. The classroom setting isnt for everyone. If you start dreading it, it's time to move to a different form of learning the language. Simple sentences that you can practise and use. 🙂
