Looks beautiful but would have loved to see the final product zoomed out. Can't really see what you're doing with the zoomed in shots.

Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves kzbin.infoUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.

I love this hack and I'm planning to recreate it at my home ❤ and I wonder - now from time perspective - how does the black paint hold on? I'm thinking whether I should buy billy with black/brown veneer finish and paint those black (if something chips of it will be less visible with the dark color underneath. Or is it ok to have the white paper foil finish (this one is almost 50 euros cheaper than black veneer)?
@mygrandparentschair91915 ай бұрын
Hi! I had the white bookshelves already but would've gone with the black /brown if I was purchasing specifically for this project! Also, I would suggest the deep base primer (which can also be tinted). I was unable to do that as I did this project during the pandemic and used what I had on hand :)

Why didn’t you buy the dark version of the billy bookcase? Is it because of the color?

Did you transport the hardboard using a pick-up truck? If not, how did you get the hardboard to your home from the store? Thanks.

Hi! Can this still be achieved for renters? There's no way I can remove baseboards or drill into walls without losing my deposit and then some... something I can do directly on the bookcase without impacting the outer layers
@mygrandparentschair91915 ай бұрын
Hi! The original project that I was inspired by was rental friendly :) She simply added the hardboard to the front of the bookshelves to make them look like one large piece.

It's from article! The beta sectional. It's super comfortable but I will tell you it has pilled a bit. I can remove the pills with a lint trimmer though. I think it's worth it because it's gorgeous 😂

This is so cool! How much space did you have between each shelf unit/how long is the wall? I want to do this and I’m trying to figure out if I need 3 or 4 bookshelves

Nice project. I would recommend a better mic or to keep always the same distance to the microphone when you record a voice-over, it made me really dizzy listening to it.
