nice video do you know what is the max weight it could be loaded on the tabletop to work fine?
@doubleu14463 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks! I read online that the desk holds up to 70kg/155lbs and still works fine. Anything above that I wouldn't recommend, but 70kg's is already quite a lot haha. Hope this helps!

Hey! How strong is the top? Are the borders hollow? I want to clamp a monitor arm with two screens. It will probably be a much heavier setup than yours. Worried that I could break/puncture the tabletop
@doubleu14464 жыл бұрын
Hey! I also wanted to clamp a monitor arm for two screens at first, but didn't (because i use MAC OS). I think the table top should hold 2 monitors, depending on how heavy they are of course. I read somewhere that the desk holds up to 70kg/155lbs, but thats on the whole desk and not on only 1 specific point. You should probably ask the IKEA staff if you want to be 100% sure. Oh, and the table top is hollow indeed. Hope this helps!

One of the legs of my IDASEN desk is locked in a specific position, and the other one (master) has moved all the way down (it won't move up). Now I have a desk at a 45 degree angle which is not very useful. The engine tries to start, but it seems like something is blocking it. Resetting methods found on the internet aren't working. Has anyone had such a problem and knows how to solve it?
@doubleu14464 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear! I've never experienced this myself and also never heard anything about it happening to others. If I were you, I'd get in contact with Ikea and ask them to help you out, these things have a warranty of (I believe) 10 years.

Hey, excellent video - thank you. Do you think this would fit in a Honda Civic?
@doubleu14463 жыл бұрын
Hey! I think it would, but you should of course flatten the rear seats. If the space in the back is at least 190 by 90 (if you go for the 160x80 desk), it will most likely fit. The table top itself is the biggest part of all the boxes. I picked mine up in an extended mercedes citan. Hope this helps!!

hi, how do you like the desk after few days of usage? Also how sturdy is the desk in real life usage? does the monitor wobble or shake when you’re typing on a keyboard on the desk, especially when it’s on standing height? It will be great if you can set up the camera to film the monitor and see how much it shakes/wobble in the next follow up video. Thanks!
@doubleu14464 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for your comment! The wobble is really minimal, the monitor doesn't shake when I type or move my mouse, even when the desk is in standing position. Perhaps if you have a lightweight monitor it might shake just a tiny bit. I'll definitely give an update on the wobbling part in the next update video!

DoubleU! Sweet!! That’s great to hear. Thanks for your help! I will do some more research before getting one myself, but am leaning toward this desk more and more. Stay safe and healthy! :)

Nice! You should definitely do some proper research before buying one, all I can say is that I LOVE mine. I actually went to see the desk at my local IKEA a couple of times and tried it out there before I made my order. Stay safe too!

@@doubleu1446 Will definitely visit a local IKEA store to check them out! Thanks for the recommendation. I hope they have some monitors and keyboards on the desk to test my concern haha.

Hey bro... do you know the feet, what kind of screw threads it uses? I just purchased mine, and still waiting for it to arrive, and want to get some caster wheels for the desk, so I can move it around. Thanks
@doubleu14463 жыл бұрын
Hey! I'm not sure if you can actually mount caster wheels underneath the desk. Maybe if you screw some holes in the frame yourself you could. I'm also not sure what the size of the screws are tbh. And I'm also not sure how stable the desk will be if there's wheels underneath it

Hi I’m just wondering if I can install other under frame with this table top?
@doubleu14464 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yes, that's possible. The only thing you need to be sure of is that the tabletop has mounting holes at all 4 sides. So you would need a under frame that is the same length and fits the holes :) Hope this helps!

Is the tabletop flat for writing? Does it have ridges?
@doubleu14463 жыл бұрын
It's not completely flat, there are tiny ridges spread throughout the surface (because the table top is from 'wood'). So if u want to write something on a paper, you'd have to put something underneath it. Hope this helps!

Does IKEA provide tools in the box itself which helps in assembling the product? Also in the very first step can we adjust the width of the table
@doubleu14463 жыл бұрын
The box comes with something that looks like a screwdriver thingy, but I used my own tools, and I would recommend anyone else to do so too. In terms of adjusting the width of the table, I don't think you can because the table top has pre-drilled holes in it, in which you have to screw the bolts to mount it to the frame.

I understand that it can be difficult for people to pronounce certain words correctly, especially if it is a foreign language. But at the same time, I will probably never stop feeling offended every time someone tries to pronounce a Swedish word and really slaughters it, this applies to the IKEA desk.
