I moved away from my mom almost 3 yrs ago and your video made me nostalgic❤ My mom and I used to spend time together shopping and when I go home she wants to buy me everything and everything! Hard to say no, but I cherish these moments so much esp now that I dont live close

aw, i feel for mum. i could see myself trying to buy all kinds of crap for the kids' kitchens when they moved out in an attempt to cope with getting used to them being so far away. and i'm totally with you on the ironing! my husband was in the army, so as far as i'm concerned he's TRAINED for that s**t and if anyone in the house fancies themselves bougie enough to buy clothes that need ironing they can report to him. (not to mention the very pained expression he gets when he sees me wielding the iron)

She wanted to buy me everything!! But I know mum has limited money too and often the things I was saying that I wanted were things that we have but we'd like to replace in the future so none of them were essential purchases and she already spent hundreds of dollars on all of our garden bits! There are some jobs that I am just not interested in wasting my limited time on this earth doing, ironing is one of them hahaha I will steam a garment if need be but that is the extent of work i will do xx

I love seeing what's in ikea in other countries, and I do love going to the ikea to browse and wish I could do things in our home, but I just end up putting everything on our wishlist till we have the means to do things lol. But I just wanted to say I have a tap that pulls out and it has a button function so you can have it like a shower or just like a normal tap and it's a game changer. It really does make washing larger dishes so much easier . And the shower function really helps with food stuck on your pans without scrubbing. I highly recommend one, but we got a cheaper version than the ikea one, and it works the same tbh 😊

My rental oven is an ikea oven. I love it! I actually ordered alone for our new house we are building.

I've been doing a bit of a home renovation to create a study/craft area recently. I'm very familiar with my local ikea at this point 😂. I just bought a sit-stand desk which I frickin love! It's the hand-crank type, not one of the really spendy electric ones - Trotten is the name. I love it because it's sturdy but not so heavy that I can't move it around on my own, and it fits by the window which is perfect for art and craft projects and jigsaws. I also got a nice floor lamp with an adjustable arm for extra light, a set of hooks that look like school cloakroom hooks, a 3x4 Kallax storage unit with cupboard doors and drawers for half the holes, and a quite basic room divider which I have DIY plans for. I resisted the bits and bobs section, which I'm quite proud of, because I don't need any more tea strainers or drawer organisers right now. I do need to take all that cardboard to the tip, though.

Those rooms with lots of stuff and patterns make me panic 😂 the pillow towards the end that you said was nice was so pretty that i jumped online to find them but delivery is so expensive

The busy rooms are intense! I couldn't personally have a room like that, they would make me feel like I constantly need to declutter lol, with that said I think they were put together well and fit a theme that I can seen being really enjoyable for some people. As for Ikea postage it's pretty bad, not at all worth it if you just want one or two items

I appreciate the IKEA vlogs, I always seem to get sick and dizzy when I go in there. I recently installed one of those taps with the swooshy head from Bunnings, just the $90 one to see how it goes. I love it. Complete washing up game changer and being able change between stream or spray modes is the best thing. Definitely get one!
@HaileyO Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the recommendation! I feel like a $90 version is much easier to swallow than a $200/$300 version! I’ll put it on my wishlist :) I feel you about Ikea visits being hard on the senses, I tend to end up with a really sore back which isn’t as bad as feeling sick or dizzy but it definitely makes the trip hard, I’m glad you can get get some enjoyment out of them ☺️ xx

I have same conversations with my mum. Always wants to by things for me! We need to say no, so that they do not spend all their money on crap! 😂 Really great that you found at least one thing she can buy for you in IKEA, she seemed happy about it ❤❤❤😄 loved the vlog

We are down in Bunbury and yeah, theatre rooms are a BIG thing in the WA market. We have one in our house but it’s used as a bedroom for our 4th and 5th kids as we don’t have enough bedrooms :)
@HaileyO Жыл бұрын
Personally I don't understand it lol, like it's just a room for watching tv! Perhaps it's weird to me because in melbourne the extra room would be used for an actual bedroom, like that adds value to a property whereas a theatre room is something you would see in builds that fall in the million dollar/multi-million dollar category, where you have enough money and space to basically do whatever you want. Us lower income/middle class folk would just watch tv in the lounge room/living room 😂
@TrinaMadeIt Жыл бұрын
@@HaileyO Yep, weve never used it as a theatre room in any house weve lived in. Always used as something else.
