Hello from sweden! The candle clip-on set is for your Christmas tree. Traditionally we put those in our trees. The spire is also a very traditional tree topper in Sweden. Mine is hand blown glass and it’s been in my family since the 1940’s :)

Hello from Germany! 🇩🇪 The clip-on Christmas lights are actually like the first electrical lights I remember from my childhood (before the tiny ones came). There looked like real candles and were - of course - only white and not blinking. 🕯️ Funny how most things do come back...

Most of Europe used both. Used to be real candles, and traditional topper. I remember the topper from back to 1959. The candles I remember from pictures of years gone by.

That tree topper is actually a classic vintage style from around 60’s to 70’s. I had one as a child in different colors as well!!! Love their collection. Thanks for sharing!!

Just want to say hello from Sweden! Hope You are well! And I smiled a bit when you got exited over those clip on twinkle lights. Online because I have grovn up with that kind of lights and it's what has been most common in Sweden in the christmastrees for many years. We get more exited when we find wireless lights that doesen't get all tangeled up during storing. Many christmases with a father bursting out in sweat fighting to unravel it. 🤣🤣 I hope my english make any sense to you. 😏

The first year Ikea opened in our city I bought a brass star with a light inside that I hang in my window and clear iridescent glass ornaments that they've never had again. They are a favourite of mine, I'd buy more if they had them! I love the old traditional ones like the Santas, too. It looks like they have some gorgeous things this year, thanks for sharing. 😊👍

Ooo thank you, such fun to go virtual Xmas shopping with you to IKEA. So hard to pick one thing. I know they are decorating their trees with their products to sell, however I think its such a great idea to buy everyone gifts, and sprinkle them throughout the tree. That way it's more exciting to hunt for your gifts with your name tag. Christmas really is my favorite time of year. Wishing everyone a very special festive season. Ikea has been having major distribution problems since COVID. Most of the stores in the USA are out of many items (especially furniture), and many shelves are bare. There is no indication when things will be back in stock. Lots of lovely ideas here, but good luck finding the items.

PSA! If you buy those paper star lanterns, be aware that in order to get the full lantern, there are 2 separate pieces to buy and combine. I made that mistake last year and I ended up with just the paper part. They can come in 2 different sizes, and be warned, they are bigger than you expect. I got the bigger versions thinking the smaller ones wouldn't be enough and the big one was TOO BIG!

It is funny that what you call non traditional Christmas items are very traditional and vintage Christmas decorations in Europe. The candle tree lights are here the traditional lights, it started with real candles. The tree topper is also a traditional one, i have one with bells and gold tread that is 100 years old .
