For me, the best part of the whole song begins in the 1:30 minute mark. The perfectly beautiful harmony made by the choir's division of voices and the heavenly Avi's bass surprised even the singers! The boys and Scott laughing/smiling was just priceless! :))

LDShadowKailee There isn't a "girl's side" They're divided by parts. Since Mitch is a countertenor he is going to be singing with mostly girls because girls typically have higher registers. He's around the other tenors and the sopranos.

It isn't divided by gender it's divided by parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass). Usually boys have a lower voice than girls so that's why it seems like one side is girls and the other is boys. I would assume the teacher placed Mitch in one of the higher parts based on his voice.
