"All right now Baby it's ah all right now" I've often wondered how much of that wear the original had when Kosoff got it and how much he put on it. It's the Les Paul equivalent of Stevie Ray's and Rory Gallagher s Strats. I still think you should do a Duane Allman Tobacco burst.

Subbed. That is some serious skills right there. Amazing. Even as a purist, I'm perfectly fine with this. It's not a copy as much as it's a Tribute to the Artist. There's a distinct difference in my opinion. That is a lot of work. You have to be part Genius and part Nuts to do what you do. I'm really impressed my man.

Yes his work is top notch but he is just a one man builder and can only make so many of these a week. You would probably have to wait up to 2 years or more for a custom build. Most small builders have a really long wait time.

I have a Gibson Custom Shop Paul Kossoff 1959 Les Paul Standard Green Lemon Burst Tom Murphy Aged and it was great to see potential how my guitar looks the way it looks. Здравствуйте, смотрел на вашем канале про распайку, не совсем понял: скажите пожалуйста, если я ручкой тона не пользуюсь, обязательно ли распаивать как в винтажном Les Paul или можно оставить, как с завода, и какие номиналы конденсаторов порекомендуете в хамбакеры, есть К42У-2, К40У-9, есть МБП и Mallory 150M series, заранее благодарю за ваш ответ. P.S.: электрогитара, копия Les Paul, из махагона, без кленового топа, хамбакеры на Alnico IV.

@@serg8910 Здравствуйте. Распайка волюма не влияет на ручки тона по этому лучше сделать по правилам. Тем более если это заводская копия леспола, то фабричную электронику можно сразу в утиль так как там и провода, и схема мусорные изначально. Если вы не пользуетесь ручкой тона, то выбор конденсаторов звучит странно, так как именно они работают как фильтр при регулировании ручек тона. Их лучше подобрать по звуку на свой вкус. Традиционно в лесполах использовали конденсаторы 0.022 микрофарада и 400 вольт. Вольтаж не важен здесь. Просто 400 вольт хорошо помещалить по размеру. Иногда использовали 0.033 или 0.015 микрофарад. Все это на вкус и для разных задачь. Используйте большие потенциометры audio taper (логарифм) 500-550к. CTS, VIPots, Centralab, Bourns... Или Domarzio, Saymour...Можно даже Альфа. Hosco не рекомендую.

Все же более какой: 0.015, 0.022, 0.033 мкФ, для более джазового, блюзового тона, слушал ваши PAF 59, просто бесподобно (отличная ваша работа), приближенное к такому звучанию, тёплому с более выраженной серединой. Может вы сталкивались - есть конденсаторы, есть такие конденсаторы фирмы Mojotone просто масляные, что скажите ?

@serg8910 Срасибо. Mojotone кондеры не пробовал так как обычно ставлю в гитары винтажные Kohn E Fast начала пятидесятых. Это плёночные. Бумага/масло дают большую погрешность. Мои оригинальные бамблби и блэк бьюти звонятс на 0.028-0.029. По этому я использую пленку 0.029 которая всегда стабильна и звучит отлично. Но конденсаторы подбираются с датчикам. Они фильтруют и выделяют ту частоту которая активна в самом датчике и дереве гитары. Это эквалайзер. Даже оригинальный бамблби будет менять тон у оригинального ПАФ и модернового датчика по разному. По этому я рекомендую слушать и подбирать, не обращая внимания на отштампованные цифры. Так же как и спикер с кабинетом кардинально меняет звучание усилителя с гитарой...

@@pie-pv3jw Hi. Yes, it is possible. But keep in mind that aniline solvents are very active and migrate over time into plastic. That is why there are some nuances here.

What's the story behind the strange marking on the back of the neck that sort of looks like a scarf joint? I was thinking maybe it was a repair, but at the angle that it presents at, it seems like too much of an end grain to end grain joint to have any strength without any long grain splices in there. @@flapjack413 Thank you. It was a tepair after broken headstock. New headstock with part of the neck was made of more dark mahogany. No serial number stamp, no Les Paul model print. Red colored lacquer. I try to ask more information about the neck Fried Okra. He is a owner of original Kossoff guitar.

If Gibson was smart, they would hire this guy and put him in charge of their custom shop. When they try to recreate famous guitars, they do a good job...but it is obvious that they are just trying to get 'close to the original'. This guy tries to get exact. The thing is...if Gibson did hire him and offer his guitars....they would have to charge an insane amount of money for them. The amount of time that would go into creating one single guitar would make them very, very expensive guitars.
