Love the collector boxes, they add flash and flair for those who can afford it and make everything else cheaper in the set, it is beautiful. The comic book planeswalkers are very cool looking, but the godzilla/dinasaur comic stuff doesn't do it for me in the slightest. I'd have to rank this as my least favorite collectors box so far.

yes butt.... the price push was: Lurus = now 0 / Super virus godzilla = now 0 and the triomes where more expensive. I am really convinced these 3 factors added 100+ a box on release because if you remove that the price is around current level. So why? 1, over powered broken card, 2 so to speak ultra rare error mistake card that everyone speculates on, 3 very good land cycle that is not rare but uncommon to be honest.

I’ll also add that the piddily 1000 boxes or whatever he had to buy when he oversold to his Patrons had little to no effect on the Ikoria market. He’s pumping himself up like he’s the Warren Buffet of MTG. If the Ikoria boxes are “soooooo limited with noooooo supply”, how come Amazon always has them in stock, usually for less than what he sold them for to his Patrons? When Amazon does run out of stock on Ikoria Collectors, they’ve always restocked within a few days.

Rudy came all over the cards and camera... but, triomes suck... they won't hold any long term value because modern, and really all the formats other than EDH, already have better land options. Formats that need speed and pace will never rely on lands that ETB tapped... So, as a land set, they will not float the value of the boxes... that will rely on the strength of all the other cards.

It’s hard to say who’s worse between the two. I think Chang is a bit more of a slippery shit because he’s such a try hard and comes off as a boisterous loud mouth car salesman. So basically in most formats you want to play with cheaper spells anyway. The condition to play Lurrus from outside of your deck is that you have no permanents with mana cost above 2 in it. Especially in older formats theres a ton of decks that already do that just because its good, so Lurrus is a extra card that you can cast from outside of the game without changing your deck. And Lurrus lets you played said cheap good cards from your graveyard also.

Companions were so powerful they had to change the entire mechanic to make it slower, Lurrus is a very strong one and fits into many modern decks without even having to make changes to the deck so it's basically a free eighth card tl;dr super busted card/mechanic
