Talking ultimate masters box toppers Eternal Witness is currently worth more than hits like Emrakul, Karakas, Life from the Loam. It has more cards worth LESS than it has cards worth more and it was in the uncommon slot. I'd rather see a double tronland pack than junk slots like Phyrexian Metamorph and Meddling Mage.

Crazy, the case had 17 mythics (out of 64 possible for a % of 26.5% Mythic, 73.5% Rare). Would as many people like mtg if there was not a secondary market culture around the game? Also this way there is less of a cut off point in which people just settle with their old cards as if you become disenchanted with the game the hobby can be maintained as a investor rather than player which brings magic into new markets which may not be considered via the wizards marketing team as youtubers and the like will provide promotion cheaper than any marketing plan. This set looks like it'd be a blast to draft if regular boosters weren't $15+ per pack. Nobody wants to pay $45 to do a draft where if you don't open any mythics you threw away your money. It's not like the first Modern Masters that was $7~$11 per pack, with drafts costing around $25. WotC doesn't understand why MMA did so well, which is it had value at all rarities and was pricey enough to not tank the secondary market (a lot of cards actually went up in value), but not so high prices people didn't open it in huge quantities. They will keep doing shit like this though, because whales will buy whatever special products they put out.

The first extended art slot is a guaranteed rare. It appears that the second extended art slot has a 2/3 chance to be mythic. This leads to the same expected value as a 1:2 ratio double slot with a lower variance. It is still weird that WOTC did not differentiate the two slots. I am still a little upset that this is a doubling set and you cannot get double extended art mythics in a pack.

That's some pretty basic garden variety sealer plastic on both the box and the cards. It's not unreasonable to think that the person would just open the bottom portion of the box and re glue it the best they can.

I wouldnt even bother with the bottom on these (they are folded btw) I could open the top without anyone ever knowing and reseal it without using any glue so it was undetectable. This product is RIPE for resealing.

That Atraxa had the same black area as the one from the last video. Bottom left, towards the part where the black curves up from the bottom. It has a wider black part and a flat top. Normal boxes seem to be a safer bet. The mythic rate seems to have been increased, based on openings that have been uploaded.

The cards, product and price are acceptable (still marginally overpriced imo) although the full art brainstorms and urza lands create a jackpot or bust scenario. The terrible packaging security however, is not ok or acceptable at all. Combine these two factors and you can expect lots of dodgy searched repacks floating around for years to come in scam city. Careful wizards, when enough Timmy's ragequit, you lose your margins, simple as that.
