Half-baked plans are my favorite, too. I think you put too much pressure on yourself, sweetheart. You are so talented and creative, and you need to remember who TF you are! We have bad days and anxiety-filled days, but that is not indicative of who we are and what we are capable of. ♡♡♡
@ikoxun17 күн бұрын
yeah i'm gonna try my best to not be this way 😭 whenever I do things, I always take it to the most extreme level & if it doesnt come out the way I plan, it leads to burn out / being too critical of the output, etc. but I'm trying to learn to take it easy on myself 🥺

If u take the pressure of having a fully finished project for each video it'll help to make more content 💖 u can always just show us what uve been working on the past week or however long
@marairene16 күн бұрын
i agree with this. the piece don't have to be finished for us to want to watch. Just make a part 2 🤷🏾♀️ buuutttt I understand why u want the piece to be finished for the videos. it's more rewarding

Wowww, seeing all of the revisited pieces I remember watching when they were posted is crazy, it does NOT feel like it's been this kind of time frame at all! Congratulations on all you've accomplished, it's always been great to see what you come up with, happy new year :]

You could take some elastic or sewing thread to try and cinch some pieces, changing the fit. I've used this method on some necklines, hems, and other things to give pieces a different look. you can even make the thread removable to change it again

invest in a really nice Base layer! A thin shirt that is a comfortable and cool material to wear under your main shirt. I have to wear thin sweaters under some of my crochet pieces due to sensitive skin and my new back tattoo has been very sensitive so i feel basically everything right around the clothing label/ tag area of the neck

i love how honest you are about selling/ donating finished projects. my first projects were definitely wearable and didn't looked too bad, but also didn't spark any joy when wearing (if I even wore them). I felt bad when donating them because of all the time and money that went into them. but seeing someone else doing it as well, it feels less bad. (if that makes any sense)

I’m amazed at how much you got done in one year! Also, the crochet flower pot cover, you can stiffen it with watered-down Elmer’s glue and use that to soak the yarn. Let it dry in the shape you want it.

Happy New Year to you too, I hope this year will be better than the last (if it wasn't that good) for you, I wish you every good thing that I can't think of right now but might think of in the future!😅

I love your creativity. I have a very different style and colour palette from yours and sooooo love your aesthetics and how you inspire me to be brave and just try things. For your droopy plant pot cover: Maybe you could thread through a bit of elastic band or rubber band on the outside part? Or use a thin copper or silver wire on the inside so the cover doesnt slide so easily? Also you could use the silver wire on top to press down/ hold down your cover? I dont know if this would work but it's so pretty and you wouldnt have to re-do it. Edit: The stitch on the rug could be a linen Stitch/moss stitch I think. Single crochet, chain one, single crochet and the single crochets are worked into the spaces not the stitches.

I can relate to wanting to only make things you know you wanna wear, I ended up putting a couple of wearable projects on pause and using scrap yarns from older projects (and inherited yarn that I had too little of for anything big) to make some slippers for guests. Glad I did that as I have been kind of overconsuming all the pretty yarns I have come across as of late T T and the crochet slippers made me realize I will never buy slippers again, the very first ones I made are the most comfy and breathable slippers I have ever had and they hold up way better than store bought ones that fall apart after the first few washes

I think for the crochet belt, you could crochet it with a smaller hook size to make it a bit stiffer. You could also crochet it sideways, with long horizontal rows, that way crochet stitches tend to stretch less

For that belt, I would just add a lining to it, either a canvas or cotton, cut it the width of the belt, then, fold over 1/4" on either side. Sew onto the belt, centering it. Now it won't stretch! It's a nice belt.
