I just purchased this, a few hours ago. Subscribed to your channel, and I will watch it later. Just a quick question please: is it possible to play the game in full screen ? I noticed the screen is just within the standard screen ( my desktop is 27inches wide).

Just started on this sim and blew a few cogs just trying to get my empty head around the game, and failed, So...: Bit Late, but here at last, (My wife married me for my late coming), but that's another story. Brilliantly explained, Many thanks for making and uploading this to help others get off the tinternet ground and into the imagination of fly these old create's with the delusion of taking down a few baddies... Will be checking out some of your other instructional Vids too! save me hours of swearing and many curses...!

Thank you! I am a brand new player and had no idea how to even get the plane in the air or get the controls to work; this video was enough to get me started. Just finished my first flight. Destroyed the propeller and engine on landing, but the rest of the plane (and pilot) was fine. "Any landing you can walk away from is a good one", right?

I love the way that the IL-2 control settings clearly illustrate the effects of adjustments to the dead zones and sensitivity. IL-2 also allows dead zones to be added to the center or the edges. The IL-2 control set up is so much better than DCS

I have me flight stick plugged in, started the game, have joystick selected in input devices, and can see that the game know's it's connected because I can use it for key bindings. The only problem is when i start a game it doesn't work. No roll, pitch, yaw, or any of it's bindings work. also I tried to rebind reset camera to it and that said the bind was changed, but the button still only works with num 5

Hello. I downloaded il-2 a little while ago and I can't use the joystick. i connect the usb to the laptop but the game does not connect the joystick. the game understands as if it had no joystick. does anyone know how i can fix this?? (My joystick is a Logitech Extreme 3D pro)

Question to anyone who may help in Flying Circus....flying in career mode (off line) I run into this problem a good bit. My flight (I am not flight leader) takes off, and say our mission is balloon defense, we arrive at the balloon to be defended and here comes the enemy airplanes to attack our balloon. My flight just flies around stupidly as if there is no threat.....I can engage, but I am left as canon fodder, it's me against 8 enemy while my "buddies" fly around watching me die. Anyone else have this issue and is there a fix so my guys can man up and stop being cowards.

Sir: I have a Logitech joystick, and following the directions I cannot get the pitch right. I have tried following the directions, then inverting, and no luck, it is always backwards, causing the plane to plow into the dirt. Any suggestions? thanks

You can use anything that the game identifies as a Stick, example like an Xbox controler, if you have the right drivers you can make anything posible

These people can't even write code that finds aT16000 joystick in a very basic system. Digital Combat Simulator, MS Flight Sim, Elite Dangerous, nor any other game on my computer have trouble finding a joystick. This game, can't even find one of the most common joysticks made.

This Is my first aviation sim as well as first aviation sim experience, so things that for many people are clear are not so Easy for me. For example, I assigned all the axis for plane control, but I have many problems when It comes to fine movments, if I roll Just a bit the plane never return to its basic position, and maintaning a direct line seems impossible and pointing in a direction without moving around looks very hard. What am I doping wrong? There are others keys to assign? It's only luck of experience?

Setting up controls for this game is more cancer than DCS. I started it and my bindings were so screwed up and sloppy that I couldn't even use my x56 right off the go. Horrible design flaw in the game.
