40 years before, I was a Guitarist in a Reputed Orchestra, namely, Kudanthai Singapore Kumar Orchestra Thanjavur District. We used to play only Illayaraja sir songs, when we were playing in Annamalai University, they gave a Title that," Illayarajavin Ethiroli" this is just for your information.

I don't understand any of the literature and grammar about music... When researchers like themselves listen to the recording, the same feeling that they felt when they first heard it vibrates inside... It's just... Ilayaraja and I are involved in something. The above video is a classic example and I expressed my sincere thanks 🙏 to the creator of this vlog. Those were good old days *we learned lessons from films 🎥 especially movies by AVM Productions , Devar Films 🎦 and great directors like Balachandar , SP Muthu Raman , Panchu Arunachalam.* But these modern day movies are useless pieces of junk 🍿 🥧 which spoiled the youth. Hence we must rely on quality music to tame us through KZbin vlogs and stop watching TV 📺 serials , movies. I found another way to enjoy this counter point , when travel in train 🚂 at times you encounter another train 🚆 travel in parallel with you. At one point of time the speed seems invisible and we feel the time has stopped like still. It might happen in car 🚗 while travelling in highway but the experience is not immense as it happens train. I don't remember saying that. MSV has handled counterpoint in the song மதன மாளிகையில். But the Maestro handled it in at least over 50 songs.

The counterpoint explained is simple two part harmony AND NOT counterpoint in the real sense of the term. Writing a descant is also a sort of counterpoint (i have written many). There are five species of counterpoint - see website. No one in Indian music / light music has ever composed "counterpoint" in the style of Bach (two/three part invention) or Handel (Messiah - SATB) where there is a "subject" and "answer" a "counter subject" and so on (too long to mention here). Let's not confuse the public !!

@@youtubedoctor Ilayaraja is great composer - i have no intention of crossing swords with him - I am just a Church organist for over 65 years playing a descant or an obbligato extempore on the pipe organ when the congregation sings powerfully. BTW Illaraja's son has met my son Commander Satish Champion at the Navy Band Concert at Trichy which my son conducted.

There were days people used to listen to Hindi film 🎦 songs to get western music feel. It is extremely difficult for a common man to understand these intricacies in music which is the ocean 🌊. But Maestro is the only person who made it to realise that we common man are the drop of belonging to this ocean 🌊. Maestro also mentioned during concert in year 2018 in the month of August at Star Vista Theatre in Singapore 🇸🇬 that all audience are tuned to special key. When he play key strokes like c d e , the audience vibrated accordingly. Your research is amazing endorsement and aptly sufficient to understand what is an ocean 🌊 of music for sure no common man has time to dive deep into it. But we can certainly enjoy the depth of this ocean 🌊 through your counter point examples. Please 🙏 do more such videos and ignore the idiots blowing their own trumpets 🎺. Maestro is the icon for common man 👨 who infer God through music. People like you are real messiah who share the best experience with all. He said counter point, it is nothing but a church music that is, for a tune of the song, there are counter melodies as, Alto, Tenor and Bass, all in one is HORMONY and also Oblicato with High desonant but it's all Western music. Thats all.
