Ilha do Sal, Cabo Verde 2013 (DJI Phantom, Zenmuse H3-2D Gimbal, Fatshark Attitude SD, GoPro Hero 3)

I dared to take my beloved DJI Phantom quadrocopter with me to Sal, Cape Verde and have rented a quad to explore the island.
Due to heavy winds the video tends to be shaky at some parts, as the copter tries to correct the rotation around its yaw axis. All in all, i can tell you that the Phantom easily could handle winds up to ~19 knots.
The video covers about all the things that are worth checking out on Sal, including Ponta Preta, Desert, Salt Extraction Plant, Shark bay, Windpark, Angulos Surf & Beach Club, Santa Maria Beach, Pier, Kiteboarding Club Station & Beach & the Pro's (Mitu Monteiro) styling at Ponta Preta at sunset.

Well, airports + remote controlled flying machines are a highly critical combo. And even if i'd love to chase some planes down the runway, i doubt that i'd get the permissions to do so...
