Roalesk, Apex Hybrid Infect/Proliferate is a super-cheap deck thats actually really good. It uses Infect and Proliferate as the main way of winning while also having clone effects to get Roalesk's etb and death triggers. I splurged a little on my build and got some of the more expensive stuff like Inexorable Tide and Contagion Engine, but you can definitely get a really solid build in there for $25. And piss people off with Infect

Quick correction: Relentless Assault does not allow the first creature Ilharg cheats in to attack again unless you can give it Haste.

Two cards which I would have tried to sneak in would have been the lands Hanweir Battlements and Flamekin Village. Both allow you to tap a red and the land itself to give a creature haste until the end of the turn. Making certain that you can have Ilharg attack upon cast instead of having to wait a full turn. That being said each of those lands is about 1.30 usd, so i understand why they were left out.

Erratic Portal would be good in this deck. For 1 mana you can put a creature you cast back to hand to cheat its etb with Illharg.

If you were to go more artifact/colorless than that would be a solid inclusion. If you added Myr Matrix you have some very sturdy blockers

Sundial of the Infinite does not allow you to keep the creatures. When you end the turn there’s still a cleanup step and the effect would still go off.

You activate Sundial during your end step in response to the return to hand trigger, which exiles the trigger from the stack. Then whatever comes next won't qualify as the "next" end step (which already happened), so it won't try to return it again. It's a fairly common technique for abusing "this goes away at the next end step" clauses, though it won't work on "this happens until end of turn" text.

If you used sundial of the infinite could you keep your creatures? You’d be able to skip your next end step, but I guess the card reads “next end step” so they’d just go away at your opponents end step right?

No, because your opponent's end step is "the end step after the next and step." The trigger only happens once. If it just said "return at the end step" (no next) then it wouldn't work.

Is there any reason you can't cheat a creature with Closet? End step you are active player and make trigger order choices. Put the bounce on the stack first, then Conjurer's Closet. Closet resolves first, and your original creature is now a new permanent just like with staff. Am I wrong here?

I would add Etali even if cheating it into play with the mighty Pig God does not cause its ability to trigger, the potential value it might bring with just one swing is high enough to earn its place here given that a good deal of the deck is already dedicated to try to ramp into a huge monster that also cheats things into play.

The way my games run, I would need to cut 3 lands and some of the slower mana rocks for Goblin Welder, Mycosynth Wellspring, Ichor Wellspring, Trading Post, and Spine of Ish Sah. Moltensteel Dragon is pretty good as well. Also, I would need Impact Tremors, Rogue's Gloves, Mask of Memory, and Sword of the Animist. The rest is pretty decent.

@@johnperseo1044 Depends on what you want to play the meme-ey-er/jankier the mono red build, the better for me. I run Purph and Tremors in my Valduk (Keeper of the Flame) voltron EDH. Heck, I'd run Zada (Hedron Grinder) before either of the Krenks... Mob Boss or Tin Street Kingpin.

The Eldrazi titans were specifically designed so you couldn't just cheat them into play and completely wreck someone's day. You have to cast them fair and square. Or you can play Animar, in which case you basically can just cheat on their mana cost.

got this as my first promo card in a prerelease and its sitting in my (only but not for long) ultra budget ruric deck that my bud gave to me as a gift (im a noob hi) and he recently upgraded a few cards so the deck is sitting at a whopping 20 ich bucks. basicly ilharg is more excpensive than the entire deck combined and in the 5 games of commander ive played since i opened him, he has yet to be used sad face

Once he's in play, you can always choose to let him go back to your library instead of the command zone though. It's nice to have the second option, especially if commander tax starts piling up.
