It would be but there are so many cards that come out and so many legendaries. Despite some tech is similar, there are changes to some decks. I think he might during a dry period but it's pretty wet right now.

The two best cards in my Yuriko deck (besides Xenograft etc.) have been Diabolic VIsion and Cavern Harpy, both coming in at UB. VIsion lets you dig five cards deep, netting you one and rearranging the other four. The Harpy bounces a ninja when she ETBs, flies to enable ninjutsu, and can bounce herself for the low cost of one life to dodge removal. Both can be gotten on the cheap, too!

@@dragonhawk00 The $100 upgrade is going to be those six cards for $27 plus Sensei's Divining Top for $27. That will leave about $21 for a couple more upgrades (less if the commander cost is included in the $100).

The top is great , but if you have to choose scroll wrack is way better allowing you to use a high cost spell over and over again with Yuriko .

I watched this when deciding what to build for my first MTG deck. Years later and Yuriko is now my best and most expensive deck, capping between 750-800$ depending on how the market is feeling. Can’t wait for Neon Dynasty, man. MO’ NINJAS, MO POWER!!

Hey Mitch, i really like this one! In quite a few of your previous decks i've had the feeling they lacked removal/disruptive spells and focused too much on their own strategy without being able to counter any opponent's plans. But here you compensate this hugely by adding the split cards wich are nice removals on their own next to being high cmc spells... great job 😄

Another great card to add to this is Insidious Dreams. It lets you discard X cards and tutor X cards to the top of your library at instant speed. You rush in with 3 or 4 unblocked ninjas, you can cast this and instantly win the game.

I came here because I saw you on Tolarian Community College doing a $25 tech, and then today realized I need to just finish the decks I want to finish. I don't have the money, though. So, what if that guy from TCC had $25 deck tech on Yuriko, and-- well, he has Yuriko! Maybe he has one for Varolz and Eight-and-A-Half Tails, too? Doesn't matter! I splashed rogues with mine and love it. Notion Thief is amazing, Quietus Spike on an Invisible Stalker is salt inducing, Blood Clock bounces your ninjas and keeps your opponents boards constantly rebuilding, and Crawlspace is perfectly on-theme. It was the first budget EDH deck I made and possibly my favorite.

3 cards I would recommend: Quickling and Faerie Impostor because they can bounce our Ninjas back making it easier for them to get through a second time (and then reuse them in turn) Dowsing Dagger is in this deck where we run a lot of cheap unblockables an easy to get out Gilded Lotus in land form (not to forget that you can attack with it on turn 3 (or in rare cases earlier)

Great video, and an interesting deck as always. I prefer how you did the reasonable upgrades in this video. I don't know if this is the first video you've done it, but it's much better way of explaining the upgrades than in your older videos. Sorry, if it means more work editing, but it is a lot better.

I love my yuriko deck. It was very budget when I built it shortly after C18 came out. I've slowly upgraded it over time. Sinsei's diving top was the card that has made the hugest difference. I hope you do a $100 deck of this one.

Nice deck tech! I love playing Helm of the Host with Yuriko, each copy of her makes her owns triggers, if you opponents can't get rid of the card is game ending. I suggest you guys to give it a try.

explore is a great ability as it lets you fix the top of your deck as well as letting you put any lands you happen across into your hand hopefully to put a creature on top also cards like ponder and dream cache are probably some of the best cards and even though you usually dont wanna ponder on your turn, yuriko decks are the exception to that rule

I've never taken a close look at Yuriko's ability past her broken Commander Ninjutsu, as she's kind of like a Cerebral Eruption you can hit everyone with using your own deck. I think it's very clever to run cycle, delve, fuse, and aftermath cards as a way to help your ability shine. You do a lot of neat things with this deck that I'd love to see in practice.

I just pulled an Etrata, the Silencer out of a pack a couple days ago and I think she could make a decent addition to this deck or as a commander in a ninja deck. She's unblockable and then after you hit with her and trigger her ability you can return her to your hand with nijitsu before she shuffles back into your library.

Wound Reflection is a very good card for this deck if you can afford one. Effectively doubling the damage you're dealing with Yuriko's trigger can end games much quicker.

it's a bit late after the fact, but Avatar of Woe is a really good add to this deck, high mana cost that gets cheaper when you have a bunch of creatures in all graveyards, taps to kill creatures, and has fear, it's just an all around good card in this deck.

Boros is really difficult in EDH. If you like auras, I recommend Kestia the Cultivator or Tuvasa the Sunlit or even Estrid the Masked. All are Bant, but Bant being what it is, has all that enchantment based decks want. Card draw. Recursion. Ramp. Versatility. Resiliency. If not Bant I recommend Sigarda or Uril. Hope this helps.

I've had a ninja deck forever and Vela used to be my commander, but I switched it with Yuriko and after playing it and tweaking it over time, I've upgraded it by adding clone/copy abilities to have multiple ninja and yuriko triggers, flicker/bounce spells to avoid boardwipes and hilarious etb triggers, and having Etrata the silencer and phage the untouchable as alternate win-cons to end the game quicker. Sadly, when my friends see me pull this deck out, the game quickly changes to Archenemy lol

For those who are familiar with the ninjutsu ability, What happens to a ninja’s equipment when that ninja successfully hits an opponent, and uses another ninja’s ninjutsu ability from their hand? Does it detach from the current ninja and stays on the battlefield or does it attach onto the other ninja coming onto the battlefield?

So lets say you attack with 3 creatures and yuriko is one of them. Opponent blocks 2 of them, 1 of which is yuriko. So you bounce it back to your hand with select for inspection and then ninjitsu it back in on the 3rd unblocked creature.
