Max isn't dumb.. he has too much experience and understanding of the himself and opponents to stand in the middle with Ilia in the first 10 seconds. He'd most likely lose that exchange because of his build and fight style (of course he could win the exchange too) but the odds are, when Ilias completely fresh, fast, 100% strength, that's the biggest chance Max's loss. Max should and most likely will drag this to 5 rounds, if he successfully manages to make Ilia miss and get tired while avoiding his k.o punches, he'll find the moment where he knows they can stand in the middle and finish the fight (When Ilias exhausted, has less power and slowed down). Best of luck to both men. I hope Max gets this win!

I have a feeling this 'pointing to the ground' thing might backfire on Topuria. If the fights goes into the later rds, its Max who'll be the one pointing to the center of the ring and Ilia might be the one diving for take downs.

For the people saying ilia is spanish. He went to spain with 15 years old. He got the citizenship after he got the belt. Both his parents are fully georgian. I think thats enough to let you know the illusions of those people 😂😂

Every time he talks about Spain he literally says "our country" nobody is forcing anything just watch what he says everywhere. Ilia nació en Alemania donde vivió 7 años, pero ese país no concede la nacionalidad por nacer en el, exigen que alguno de los padres sea alemán. Se trasladó a Georgia donde residió hasta los 15 años, (8 años) para emigrar a España donde lleva viviendo hasta la fecha. (12 años). A Ilia en respuesta a su petición le concedieron la nacionalidad y pasaporte español, y como Georgia no contempla la doble nacionalidad, tuvo que elegir, y optó por renunciar a la georgiana. Reside, trabaja, y hace toda su vida en España desde hace 12 años, mucho mas tiempo que el vivido en Georgia o Alemania. I really don’t like Illia, he might have very good skills but I wish the worst for him and his family.
