I actually forgot how amazing Ultron was. The entire movie was amazing. Everyone talks about how The Avengers layed the foundation for the team, how Infinity war united all separated characters from entirely different franchises and connected all the plotlines that were leading up to Thanos and his Infinity stones quest, and how Endgame masterfully paid tribute to everything that happened before and concluded everything on a high note. However, very few people talk how Age of Ultron had to pick up where The Avengers left off with all the same characters, but an entirely new story it had to tell, had to prepare the road for Infinity war and set up its story, while also teasing and laying foundation for Endgame. Lots of things had to be got right in the movie, and they absolutely nailed it.

Age of Ultron is the movie where they had to do a lot of the storytelling that they will reference in future movies. In itself it isn't really an amazing movie, not even top 5 in the MCU imo. But it is the most important movie to watch in terms of understanding the story of the Infinity Saga because it is the start of many of the plot points that finally concludes in Endgame.

More than that, Vision didn't seem to take into account the fact that the avengers, well, already existed? They weren't going away. This is glorious. Great job. It also highlights how underrated Age of Ultron is. Going back about a year ago to watch it again, I enjoyed it so much more. It gets better over time, because its so much more connected to the rest of the Infinity Saga than we understood, back then. The one thing that gets me is how people don't understand the VERY DIRECT LINK between Thanos, and Ultron. Sending Loki was Thanos' short game, and 'doing it himself' was his long game, his Endgame. His Mid-game? Thanos MADE Ultron. Neither Thanos or The Other were very impressed by Loki, that's in The Avengers, as well. So it makes sense someone as cunning as Thanos would not be placing his whole bet behind Loki. But taking the Earth over(and preparing it for Thanos to harvest) by this hell bent artificial intelligence(Ultron), was his mid-range game, a failsafe if Loki failed, and he was pretty sure he would fail. And it's not much of a stretch to say it. It's directly laid out in the plot thread that starts in The Avengers original movie and runs a LONG way to Age of Ultron: 1. The Mind stone came to Earth in The Avengers, in the sceptre wielded by Loki, who was given it by Thanos, with the order to take the Earth and provide its resources to Thanos. In return, Loki would rule the Earth. 2. During the movies(and Agents of Shield TV show) between Avengers and A: Age Of Ultron, we see that (starting with Winter Soldier) Hydra had infiltrated Shield, and taken the Sceptre (and Mind Stone) from Shield, and used it to develop weapons, as Shield was attempting to do in Avengers. 3. In the beginning of Ultron, The Avengers take down the last of Hydra, and recapture the sceptre from Baron Von Strucker. 4. Finally having time to actually analyze the Mind Stone themselves, Banner and Stark find there is a vast artificial intelligence ALREADY embedded in it. They didn't MAKE it, they FOUND it, its right there in the story. Stark convinces Banner to help him try to harness that, to build Ultron(hoping for a highly intelligent, beneficial Ultron system that can protect the world while the Avengers get to ' go home'). Of course it goes wrong - they didn't understand that this AI already had its OWN goals, and thus would corrupt in the direction of those goals, no matter what it was programmed to do. 5. So what does this mean? It means there was an AI implanted in the Mind stone, before it came to Earth, in Loki's sceptre. So who put it there? Is it that much of a stretch to say a being like Thanos, who can wield ALL the stones, could find a way to alter one of them, and plant a failsafe/backdoor/Trojan Horse in the Mind Stone? No, I don't think it is. Think I am crazy? Watch Ultron again. All this info is in there. They don't directly say who made the AI, or embedded it in the Mind Stone, but they do say it contains a highly advanced AI already(that humans could not have made), and that's not how the Mind Stone works in the Marvel canon - so that was added to the Mind Stone, somehow. Thanos CREATED Ultron. Thanos is the reason Ultron was bent on devastating the Earth. Pretty strong tie in.

This is a master-crafted homage to the MCU. You brilliantly encapsulated the heart of why all these movies are so great. It also shows the care of the production team at Marvel and how a common thread binds them all together. I got emotional watching this. Great editing. Great music editing. You picked all the right moments. Wow, this is something special. I hope more folks see this.

When the chant started, I felt chills at the back of my neck. We watch MCU movies for the action, cameos, and stories. Although very few contemplate what would happen if the Cube never ended up on Earth. That's what started everything. Would there still be a challenge? Conflict? or even a Catastrophe. Also funny how the Avengers lost a lot, gained it back by 1%, and now the multiverse is at stake.

7:37 hits even harder now because Peter knew how close he was to get that glove from Thanos.

The 2:14 part is what gets inside me the most. Just a short take of Dr Strange, but his sad look and the emotional music really makes you consider that he only became the hero Dr Strange after losing everything. He lost his precious steady hands, his career which was the basis of his large ego, and ultimately his money (as stated in the movie). He lost, and even with the fact that it was only the first act of his hero's journey, it still saddens me when I see his grief.

2:26 Didn't even realize how similar Cap's speech in Endgame and Peter's speech in GotG were until this video. Wow.... wonder if the writers knew that, in writing Endgame...? Would be so cool if they fluked that. (As unlikely as that sounds.)

This is a masterpiece.... usually i get bored watching tribute to a fimm/series. They just putting clips, sound, and music in it. But not you, you build a storyline that end with a great ending
