Detailed Saab Trim Painting Process

Supposedly the closest colors to the factory Saab Turbo X trim color is either Ford Titanium Grey or Land Rover Corris Grey

To avoid breaking any of the tabs on the grille i found it helpful leaving the set in your car for the sun to bake it. Did that when it came to my hirsch grille which was a pain to put on, such a tight fit with the tabs.

I like the look of the TX trim colour much more and it really works well with those rims😍😍 Painted my 9-3 trim in Ford Graphite Grey a while ago. The trunk trim finish is still looking as good as the day I painted it, but the front trim is now blistering and crazing. The back of the car when parked is mostly in the shade, but the front is in full sun. Followed exactly the same process as you, but this is the second time it has happened now. I sincerely hope yours fares better 🤞🤞 Now going to wrap the trim to see if that lasts longer. Here's hoping.

For the noisy boot springs, I put a little bit of WD-40 where they clip onto the brackets. Didn’t expect it to do too much but it’s quietened them right down!

I bought it off ebay years ago. I don't remember the sellers ebay name but recall it being shipped from Portugal. They're nice quality and don't seem to fade or yellow in the sun like a lot of the other cheap versons do

Hello friend. I would ask to you about where is the Camshaft position sensor on Saab 9-3 ?

A bit above the starter. Could be reached from the top of the engine straight down from the connection connected to the radiator fans

@@joshrawks21 thanks but that sensor is crankshaft sensor. I'm not looking for that. I'm looking for Camshaft position sensor.

@azizziyainanici7733 totally right I got confused. That one sits to the right of the throttlebody if not mistaken. Simply cleaning it and replacing the oring will fix it rather than replacing it

Silver one was better. I hate that dark colour same as I hate that hype for black alloys. But this is only what I like.

I actually think the factory silver is a nice color but since I went dark on the wheels I wanted the trim to match. I do agree that having all black trim and black rims isn't a great look

@@WeakestofWeeks If you are interested, I found a rear strip on the trunk lid with a large inscription SAAB instead of a round logo. I added a new bumper from Griffin. The whole thing looks amazing. now I'm hunting for TurboX rims and a rear diffuser.
