Thank you for fixing that. Started watching the 1st video after a small breakfast and 2 large extra strong cups of coffee. So I was very twitchy when you bypassed the filler neck and grounded the already grounded bed. Loudly repeated "No! No! No! 's" were uttered.

To anyone with issues, I had no power to the fuel pump, ruled out the fuel pump relay being issue, switched out the fuel pump for a new one. Still no power to it when I turn the key I didn’t hear the humming of it priming. Found out the ground from the back of the motor to the firewall was broke, so I mounted a ground from the firewall to the frame, then from the frame, and went from the frame with another wire on to a bolt on the transfer case under the truck right by the starter. Car cranks right up. Still don’t have my ground on the fuel neck but I’ll fix it soon

🤔 hmmmmm will do that kind sir. My Limited ( 2000 Tahoe OBS ) died while attempting to place it in reverse to park at Harbor Freight. I laughed it off, ( dumb hot fuel pump relay ) which I always have a new spare. That didn’t work, the other thing I noticed was that fuel gauge jumped to 3’oClock … which never happened before. I have a nos Ac Delco MPFI Spider ( revised version ). Have warranty on my Ac delco fuel pump, just need to pick it up and swap the old pump.

I would recommend using a ground strap washer instead of a flat washer so it has some "bite" for better ground.

When I detached my filler neck today it straight fell out of the gas tank. Whoever played with the pump or tank last didn't put a hose clamp where the filler hose met the actual tank?!

Hi, the goal of that ground I believe is as a static spark pathway. :) thank you for making this

Would this cause youre fuel pump to stay on I just found out my ground is cut
@arresthillary95026 ай бұрын
7:42 you are screwing those 2 bolts to the fuel filler neck, connecting it to the body. connecting the grounding strap to one of those bolts is sufficient without disassembling the entire housing like you did. remove one screw, find some washers and a nut to fit the back side and connect the ground strap

I’m having an issue on my 96 where it will run for a while; once I try to restart it there is no crank. Battery is good and the alternator is new. Would the rear ground strap impact this issue?
