The way her tentacles function is very similar to Jack-O and her minions in GGST, so that might be a good place to start if you're wanting an idea of what her pressure and extensions might look like. I'm a bit concerned about the addition of assists into that ecosystem, but I'm optimistic that the balance team knows what they're doing. Illaoi honestly looks great, looking forward to what people discover with her at EVOJ

Yea jack-o does make a lot of sense to compare to, I think that's pretty accurate! The more videos ive seen since this one came out have made me feel a lot better about the chaos on screen I think it'll be solid! Plus even if she wasn't right now they still have a year of playtests to get feedback from im sure they will get things in a good place before actual release like you said.

Illaoi looks amazing and seems really intense. Love that big clunking sound when she dunks people. Also with the vg247 CaseyEdwards interview talking all about music, and the illaoi trailer most likely now revealing her own theme song, we have now 3 new tracks which all indicate more champion specific tracks. I wanna play so bad but thankfully Playtests seem to be more locked in: They will remind people at the booth, they mention it in videos and we moved from 'maybe some' to 'first playtest start later this year'.

They did such a great job with her, I'm pretty impressed. Plus that Casey Edwards interview was dope! and on top of that got to hear this bildgewater theme which I'm really digging, hopefully all the music is going to be this good because the few songs we've gotten so far have been excellent. And yeah for them to be bringing up "at home playtests" again already to me makes this feel fully locked in at this point, we are FINALLY getting a beta this year and I'm beyond stoked.

She plays exactly how i picture her to be, while yes she's not a puppet character, she's still a set-up play character that still relies on her Tentacles to bring up her full potential, both in combos and pressure, i would imagine her to have below average neutral because her pressure and Oki game would be the main focus of her kit, She's not my type of character and I don't think i would be playing her but it's still cool to have Big Body mixed with Set-Up play archetype🤔, She has the best Lvl 2 super so far tho😌, I'll be there to see Sett became a Grappler. Yea they went all out on making her true to her LoL self, and kinda killed it imo. Not my character type at all, but she STILL looks really dope here. And appreciate you as always brother

Considering how extensive they made Illaoi moveset and how they explained it. It makes me wonder how a character like Braum or Ornn would work in this game

Braum would be a really interesting one and a good choice in my opinion. Plus with Illaoi, Yasuo, and Ahri already being in the game they may as well add the other Ruined King party members while they are at it! (Braum, Pyke, Miss Fortune)

It really is! Every character stands out and has so much personality so far because of it. It's gonna be really cool to see where they cool with a lot of Champs especially if they keep it this diverse every single time. PS Xayah would also be dope!

I avoid Illaoi in League because i find her pretty unfun to play but damn does she look cool in 2X. And i agree i think her ult is thr coolest in the game so far

Yea that's fair. I've also seen other content creators talking about how she seems different already than she was when they played her too. So especially after a few more playtests and feedback from players, I imagine they will do a ton of ironing out characters over the next year which is great!
