I'm so glad that you're Honest in your teaching on this matter. It's been extremely helpful to me. Thank you, Pastor Tim. Thank you very much.

Praise the Lord. It's about grace and mercy. There is grace and mercy for WHEN we fall BUT there should be fruit growing and showing at all times of your walk with Jesus. Grace and Mercy are not an excuse to keep on in the same patterns and behaviors we were in before getting saved.

@dude853 It is not about what we are fans of, but what God teaches in His word. Go read 1 Cor 6:9, go read those other texts, do you take God at His Word? We must! I had to. The 21 years I grew up in church and was a slave of masturbation & pornography, it was for the simple reason I was lost, I had no new heart, I was not recreated by the Spirit of God, I was not born-again. I had NO faith in Christ. We must examine ourselves by the Word of God, not our own opinions and emotions.

wow Tim makes such important points. You really can't just pray oh Lord deliver me from temptation and expect it to just go away. A pastor said its ridiculous to pray for that if you still got porn books stashed away, get rid of those porn books first. Kill the sin don't just pray deliver me from temptation when your clinging to the things tempting you. I learned this when I was in a situation with a girl
@MrJedv14 жыл бұрын
I understand where Tim is coming from but the way he's talking, It's like he's saying it's easy too give up porn addiction. And from the testimony I heard from guys who was addicted to porn it wasn't easy to overcome. And it's true when some come to Christ they get delivered immediately but some don't it's a process for them.

@ageofpoo Keep fighting brother. I feel your pain. I went through the same and still am fighting. I am almost 5 years in the faith and its not been easy, but the victories do become more frequently as you fill your heart and mind with the things of the Lord and His beauty. He is all that satisfies and He will renew your mind if you keep fighting and stay vigilant.

@Tasheezi When you come to the point where you start to despise yourself and your sin and lay your whole life all desire and all that you are to Christ, that transformation will happen in a flash. And God will give you Strength and Fear to stop even thinking about that sin. I know this for certain. "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." Rev 21:27

Solid teaching of the word , although it would be more accurate if the word we was substituted for the word you in these teachings. We are ALL sinners and suffer with falling short. By the grace if god go all of us who are saved.

WE have to dominate our bodies?? WE can't do anything folks. You have to remember, becoming a Christian means that one person confessed to God that they cannot follow his commandments (giving up) and agree to God that if they dedicate their life by glorifying God in all of their actions and thoughts, then God will guide them and give them the power to easily over come sin, and eternal life. People will be amazed on how easily sins can be overcome by the granted power of God through glorification

Im not a fan of his whole "your getting left behind if your still addicted to porn", its not an overnight deliverence to everyone especially if you became exposed to it after salvation, its a crazy ahrd struggle, I can testify to that. But so far its been about half a year born free, praise God.

@illbehonest theres a lot of judging and condeming here, David was a man after God's heart who lusted like anyone else - he was human. I dont defend sin or lust, but I dont think we should write off those who are addicted to sin as God doesnt, in fact, this is what Jesus died for. We do have to fight against the sin but I implore you that if you tell a fib then "you're getting left behind" along with the rest of humanity. Its about the blood of Jesus, repentance and fighting to win in EVERYTHING

@illbehonest I see what you are saying but the bible tells us that its not till we are transformed will we be made perfect, saying "if you masturbate means you go to hell" is too simple. We all are born in sin, one sin is no greater than another, it is only by the blood of Christ that we are acceptable in God's eyes. I dont condone masturbation or pornography, but its a pest of an addiction isnt something you merely decide to turn off. Jesus said to Mary Magdaline that He doesnt condemn her...

Matthew 5: 27-28 KJV-1611 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery : but I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a WOMAN to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. William Tyndale-1526 Ye have heard how it was said to them of old time: Thou shalt not commit adultery. But I say unto you that whosoever looketh on A WIFE lusting after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Now put that into context.

I studied "sexual purity" in the scriptures and I don't think it's the lock-tight dogma a lot of these guys do. The best fornication etymology I can find proves that fornication pertains to prostitution (sex for money), not our concepts of "premarital sex" or masturbation.
