I understand the panic when the dreamcast crashed into bios, however, as a viewer, I think you made a great recovery! This is a very special game, I'm always happy to see a speedrun of it, great job Punchy!

My old Dreamcast would do that when it started breaking down, before it developed the boot cycle problem a lot of DCs develop, so, yeah, it used to happen to me all the time.

It's probably the connector between the PSU and the main board inside, at least if it becomes more and more frequent. You can typically cure it by opening the console, removing the PSU board and cleaning both the connector and power pins, as well as VERY gently applying pressure to the pins to ensure a more solid connection. This is a very well documented issue with the console, and I'm a little surprised it caught everyone off guard so badly. My launch PAL Dreamcast started doing this as early as 2002, and I just have to repeat the process every few years, but otherwise the console is still fully functional.

I love Illbleed so much, I still have my copy that I bought from Electronics Boutique when it first came out. It's so goofy, weird and the mechanics are so bizarre, but I genuinely love this game.

Ok, most baffling thing about this game to me....is for how meta this game....They have Sonic the FREAKING hedgehog in this game as a boss, and he doesnt have a single line of dialog, While the voice actor of Sonic is literally in the game.

Apparently the wordplay that doesn't translate in woodpuppets for the code being 1564 is hitotsu-go-roku-shi, shortened to hitogoroshi, or "murderer'. That took less research to find out than I expected it to.

I've always wondered, in the context of Illbleed the park, was there supposed to be an actual killerman attraction and it just happened to go off the rail for you, or was it supposed to be the crew getting murdered o.o

It's an actual attraction building you enter, and your friends literally get murdered (and revived) during the game if you take the wrong actions. So I'm assuming it's an actual attraction where the crew gets murdered and then brought back once the attraction is finished.

Fun Fact: Tree sap does carry nutrients to the different parts of the tree, and sap is produced when the vein is broken containing the sap. Some trees produce very thick, slow-running sap, and others produce very large and copious amounts of sap. So yeah, trees do bleed when you cut them. Have fun with that.

Glad I got my copy like 3 years ago. Paid $150 & now apparently it’s $400. Used to be obsessed with this game in middle school despite not owning a Dreamcast (got both during the beginning of COVID) It’s worth pointing out that all scenarios are meant to parody B movies (except the final one with a boss that stands out) Also, fun fact: Sega hated Zodick, but they allowed it cause they were done with the Dreamcast
