We live in a society that is far too "stocious" we don't call out the inept of leaders or should I say misleaders who lack vision. Regardless of what statistics may say, we have more "dogs than bones." The rapid growth of our population is a problem. Do the people in authority really have the citizens wellbeing at heart? People in the media ask politicians too many nonsensical questions. Their campaigns are always filled with the same rhetoric. Has anyone ever asked what's the purpose of Caricom? These things need to be front and center. We are just having talks about gun control in the Caribbean now. Too many people asleep at the wheel if you ask me.

Mexico was always a route used in the early 70s by Jamaicans mostly females ..A TOURIST card validated by the Airline check in clerk that was required with Valid passport.i was 19 just started working at Palisadoes Airport..curious see everything.

I didn't realize that Mexico was a viable route for Jamaicans for many years. Prior to the 2000s, US visitors' visa application were free and most would just try their luck and hope for an approval. Nowadays, because of the high fees and low chance of approval, they don't try to get it legally!

I know people who've done it. They were caught by immigration and even though they were released to families, they must go to court and are subject to deportation anytime. Worse the family they are with wants them to go find there own place now even though they told them to come. The lawyers are charging almost US $20k to represent each person them in court to fight deportation.

The people that are leaving rather to die on theirs way than to stay in jamaica because of the guns violence jamaica have the highest crime rate in the Western hemispheres and the second highest in the world some of the gun boys who are coming to the USA the jamaica police can't catch them for many years when they come to the usa they came here get into gangs because leopard can't change their spot and the usa police will caught them or killed them and their rivals killed them. Some of the decent people are living in the ghettos they're afraid so they're truly running for their lives they know they're living in the ghettos which is not safe for them and the police can't protect them 24 hrs Jamaicans have reason to leave jamaica believed us the government cannot protect their citizens the guns boys are killing the innocent people them for real I don't mind they killed each who are in gangs because if you lived by the gun you die by the guns.

Every where is crime and violence...but in the US...the blatant crimes and shooting that takes place in Jamaica daily like is a frigging sport can't happen in certain neighborhoods and cities in the US. *Sidebar* one should desire to place themselves and family in the safest environment one can... and not in dangerous communities.

Let me see if I can help that lawyer about people running away from Jamaica, because of gangs violence. I want that lawyer to know that there are more gangsters,in the United States. More than the entire population of Jamaica, there are thousands of gangs living in the United States. The majority of people leaving from Jamaica from decades,it is not any form of violence. Why they left, because the majority of people just want to left. Because they strongly believes that, there is a better jobs opportunities to make more money. Because I know several Jamaicans people, who was living in England also Canada for years and. They still migrated to the United States, so it is not only people from Jamaica is leaving their country to the United States at all. The majority of people from all over the world, is migrated to the United States. Because the majority of people strongly believes that money is on streets giving away, and it is very easy to get rich. I can tell many people who is trying to get the United States now,it is not a very nice place to lived. Because of the high cost of living is going on right now, the rent or mortgage payment is. Getting very ridiculous if you don't have any paperwork,it is very hard. Although some people know people and get a job, under the table. For what I am seeing right now,if I was living in Jamaica and. Get the chance to the United States,I wouldn't never leave right now at all. Because I have a roof over my head to live and,to be homeless in the United States. It is one of the easiest thing right now,say 25 to 30 years ago. Things was much better in the United States, anyone have any form of sense. Once you have certain amount of money, try and build a house in Jamaica and move out. Because it does not matter what kind of job that you have in the United States,it is not guaranteed at all. The majority of big companies in the United States is cutting jobs, and laying off thousands and thousands of workers. Millions of people is living on the streets, and in their vehicles. I have seeing people with hundreds of millions is, on the streets begging. Because you can have hundreds of millions in the United States and,if you gets yourself in some serious trouble. You will ending loosing everything, plus you can go through some bad divorce and loose most of what you have. The United States can make and it can, easily break you, that is one thing in life you must remember. Where you are coming from and, where you want to go in life. Because it is not an easy road to travel, but as far as what am seeing right now. The United States is broke financially, china is the world power financially right now. I know that at lot of people is not going to believe it at all, because they does not know how much money that the United States owes China, also other countries. There is a lot of countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia is dumping the United States dollar. It is really a very sad situation is going on in the United States right now, you haveto be living there. To really knows what is taking place there, people on the outside is just speculating about certain issues.

They mainly go to the same country because it is the easiest place to assimilate in due to it's diversity and large immigrant populations, especially in the big cities. In other countries they would stick out like a sore thumb, plus the immigration laws are more strict!
