You can be happy while wheelchair bound but not being able to walk is entirely a negative to your life, especially living in a world surrounded by able bodied people, constantly reminded of what you can no longer do. You can say people can live happy and fulfilled lives while disabled, and even prefer their life with their disability because of how it shaped them and what they have learned from it, but the disability itself is always still bad and if given the opportunity to walk again i don't know wouldn't take that offer, and even so the person wouldn't refyse because they think being in a wheelchair is actually better, they would refuse because of how connected that disability has become to their life and apart of them as a person that they wouldn't want to let it go. That's not a positive towards their disability, it's a negative towards losing it and the emotion that brings. Maybe I'm misunderstanding and you meant something different, my apologies if so.
