Those can be good with grants etc but are largely hollowed out of opportunity. We need to make all kids in a school district eligible to lottery for the best schools so the funds get spread around and all the housing and parks and neighborhoods outside the 1-2 richest schools will finally get funded too. The med and law schools are capped and require extracurriculars as a barrier to keep their mediocre elite kids in the elite schools, most student debt is often also on elders, and they target first gen or immigrant unfamiliarity to take out bad loans for bad law or medical programs. Law is bimodal, some make a lot, most, and almost all who don't go to top programs aren't making money, so shouldnt borrow, only if scholarship. The medical schools limit applicants, and MOST BLACK DOCS ARE AFRICAN they deny Jennae who worked and helped support family more, and admit Agnes whose parents sent her on vacation as an impressive volunteer production / trip, and oboe lessons, equestrian hobbies and knows how to eat a 5 course $300 meal according to White aristocratic standards....

Lol, why do you think the education system has Spanish classes ( for a curriculum )? Lack of opportunities? No, it's a sense of ENTITLEMENT ( American children, some now adults, have a sense of being “ owed something “. But don't possess the common sense to understand that “ you have to put in, to get something out ). Hmmm! Let's look at the black community ( since Obama ( the first African American President ) came to the office of the United States). The black community had to write off 1 1/2 of a generation because of the lack of willingness to commit to the educational process ( which during the Obama administration led to the highest number of high school dropouts ). Which isn't 100% the children's fault. Because the United States was trailing other countries ( with fewer resources ) in Math & Science ( counting those rocks isn't a high school-accredited course ). Today youth are being influenced into blatant ignorance.

Add the dynamic, as a gov. employee, that you cannot fire anyone so long as the staff person is 'trying', so long as someone is saying they're trying to do the job, even though they are failing to do it well, your hands are tied and you cannot replace the person without union laws preventing firing or litigation, and firms are ready to take up any bad-work-ethic person's cause. The other elephant in the room, the american fe ma le workforce, that's turned into a nightmare, fear of being labeled a mAs agonist, or se xist, or gende r biased and cause bad fe ma le actors to harass the hell out of other fe ma le workers, (newsflash, fe ma le workers hate each other, the drama that's in they're chaotic dating lives gets carried into the office, in none-date relations with coworkers ma le or fe ma le), not only do they not do they're jobs, they ask for crazy 'work-schedule-reasonable-accommodations for any kind of perceived mental, emotional, physical or spiritual distress, and this kind of bad fe ma le actor, can ruin a business or a person, permanently, so, Anton, at this point, what is there to lose, it's not just the migrants being hired for jobs no one wants to do, it's that the disgruntled, entirtled, lazy, crazy work person we grew in America, is too concerned about what Lizzo is doing to be of use anywhere else, they feel underappreciated, they want to earn more, even though they do less daily, they're not loyal to the business, and they take very opportunity to steal, this is every r ace, that's our us workforce, by and large....and no one can have an honest conversation about that, so these foreigners, yes, it's F up, we should use our resources on US citizens....right? That's a lame, nonsensical statement. Wages should be set by supply and demand. Every time the minimum wage went up in NYC, the costs of everything went up to a point that you were poorer than before the new higher wage. I left when it went to $15 an hour because prices soared. That same $15 and hour, is easy to get where I am now, because there are fewer workers available and it can cover the cost of an apartment and a full cost of living. The government needs to get their nose out of the market and let supply and demand set the price.

Yes, there are jobs, but they're often not equivalent. Someone making $150K a year won't find a $20/hour job comparable. Many people who earned $100K-$150K are now unemployed for over six months. If you can't find a similar job, you might have to settle for $125K or $100K. We should acknowledge that jobs people are accustomed to are less available.
