You’re on to something when you said it feels like a 80-90‘s song. This song is inspired and kind of a tribute to ‘Eagle fly free’ by Helloween. In ‘Above the sky’ the drummer is Uli Kusch, a former member of Helloween.

Thanks for reacting to this amazing band. Tommy does a lot of covers and he's fantastic at it, but this is where his heart lies. Tommy started this band over 20 years ago, called ReinXeed then and he's the only one who was there from the start. ReinXeed basically started as a one man band, he got bandmates later. When Tommy got into Sabaton in 2016 as a replacement for Thobbe Englund, they were very aware of ReinXeed, though ReinXeed was on a hiatus because of Tommy's burnout. In 2019 they changed the name to Majestica and released a new album (this song is the title track). Less than a month ago Tommy announced that he's leaving Sabaton because he wants to focus on Majestica and solo career, Thobbe Englund is returning to Sabaton as a new/old guitarist. As far as I know, only problem with Tommy being in 2 bands was schedule. Sabaton is a touring machine, which leaves little or no room for Majestica tours. Both Tommy and Sabaton said they remain very good friends and will continue to support each other. My suggestion for next Majestica reaction: Metal United, Night Call Girl, Rising Tide

Tommy anunciou em janeiro desse ano que nao faz mais parte do Sabaton, ele precisa cuidar de sua banda magesttic e também de outos projetos, o tempo estava muito curto pra ele. I don't know that much about the Sabaton members, but everything I've heard from 'superfans' indicates they're like brothers, close friends who are very supportive of one another. As others have said, Tommy's leaving Sabaton, and the guitarist he actually replaced is returning, which seems almost like fate smiling on everyone involved. I do know that the members of Majestica are supportive of each other, and most of them are involved in other projects as well. Chris David, the bass player, has a relatively new band he's fronting called Wizdoom, and Tommy's guested on a song with them already, I believe. Tommy has also worn merch t-shirts from Wizdoom and other friends' bands in his videos several times. The metal community, musicians and fans, seem to be a really supportive close-knit group, something I never would've suspected before discovering metal music.

It sounds like Tommy might be leaving sabaton to work on his band majestica. And I guess some other solo stuff. I just bought the Jessica's CD with above the sky on the CD. And the whole CD is really good
