Since Tommy Johansson left Sabaton nearly a year ago now he has been concentrating on his solocarreer as a singer, his KZbin-channel and Majestica. Majestica has released 2 new singels during 2024. "A new beginning" pre-album singel and "Powertrain" the titletrack from their upcomming album which will be released 7th of february 2025. Majestica starts the second leg of their tour in Germany, 8th of january 2025. Majestica will be playing at 70 000 tons of metal and Progpower later this year. They will also be playing at both Hellfest and Wacken Open Air this summer.

@esaedvik: Yes it is Tommy Johansson, a Grand Master Musician. He’s quite extraordinary on drums, keyboard, bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and singing. He’s a born again Christian and loves God very much. He’s been in lots of bands: Narnia, Sabaton, ReinXeed/Majestica and then there’s his solo work, and of course he’s the Swedish karaoke champion of 2009. He has phenomenal vocal range and can sing pretty much anything you give him. The guys a walking miracle prodigy.

Interesting fact about this song: the German band Helloween (Whom you've reacted to) is one of Tommy's biggest influences, and this song was written in tribute to them, meant to sound like Eagle Fly Free. As such, the drummer in this video AND on the song is FROM Helloween and played with the band from their album Master of the Keys, through the Dark RIde. His name is Uli Kusch. So he's playing parts of this songs exactly the way he'd play Eagle Fly Free while he was with Helloween.

All Swedish elementary school provides music education in some way, at mine we had that everyone played the same instrument in year 3 and after that year we could pick another instrument to play. We all sing in choir at school, but most school do build an orchestra off instrument for year 3. Small country but a lot of music.

He's had this band since the early 2000's, it was formerly called "ReinXeed", he just changed the name recently. So this isn't going to take him away from Sabaton.

if you want more great bass players, i suggest galneryus (dont remember which songs taka gets to play a bass solo on but there are a few), band-maid (on one of the live versions of "play" misa gets to show of some bass skills) and aldious (sawa might be a tiny and cute girl but her skills on the bass does shine through at some points)

The ending was like a western movie.. Great performance.........except maybe the bass......that solo was unnecessary....a bass is an accompanying instrument and binds the whole song with the other instruments. i find most bass solos boring. and this was no different.
