Tommy is very under rated. As a singer he is freaking amazing, one of the best power metal singers. His style personifies power metal. The bass player of the band Chris David also has a great voice and plays a mean bass. Tommy and Chris do a duet on their Christmas album which is awesome. This song is a tribute to Eagle Fly Gree, one of the best Helloween songs. I wouldn't say this is similar to gloryhammer. Very classic power metal.

O.k.!! My first time hearing Majestica ever as well. They are stupendous- I am not sure how to classify this song, it has so many different sounds. Symphonic Metal partly, Rock for sure, the drum and guitar solos are insane, and Tommy kills the vocals with metal screams. So interesting!! Thanks for introducing me to this killer band!! 😲

Tommy is very much into the power music from the 80ies. His guitar hero is Gary Moore. His father intoduced him to Garys music when he was 9. He decided to become a rock guitarist. Next I suggest Tommy singing Phantom of the Opera where he sings both parts. Majestica has also done Christmas Carol where Tommy har arranged Dickens lyrics into seasonal carols Metal style. This weeks cover was Taylor Swift. He's done Leonard Cohen, Queen, Elton John, Steelheart, Spice Girls, Green Day, Weeknd, Heart and many more , you name it. Glad you finally checked out Tommy. His 'day job ' is lead guitarist in Sabaton. Majestica Tommy does original music.

Tommy Johansson is the lead guitarist in the Swedish metalband Sabaton, Majestica is his own band where he's lead singer, he's also done a lot under the stage name RainXeed and he has his own KZbin channel where he does a lot of covers among other things. You really ought to check out his "You raise me up - 1 octave challenge" so see what he's capable of. Other fun songs are Green Day - Basketcase Symphonic metal cover, Chicago - You're the inspiration cover, Twisted Sister - The Price cover just to name a few. Then there's Sabaton, where he's lead guitarist. The band mainlywrites songs about historical war events and combines the songs with having their own history channel, Sabaton History, where they tell the historical facts behind the songs presented by a legitimate historian. Their song Christmas Truce is a good start, others are 82:nd all the way, Devil Dogs, No Bullets Fly - animated story, Bismark, Defence of Moscow, Swedish Pagans (live at Wacken 2019) and En livstid i krig - Swedish version from the Gothenburg concert of The Great Tour (there are captions) among a lot of other songs. You have a lot of goodness to discover here, I hope you enjoy it.

Yes, yes, and yes! My only quibble is that Tommy is co-guitarist with Chris Rorland, another great guitarist. I love everything that Sabaton and Majestica do! One of my favorites, though, is Hellfest 2019, when Sabaton replaced Manowar at the last minute. Then Joakim lost his voice, and told the huge crowd that Tommy and Chris would take turns singing the songs. They each sang songs, including the headbanging, without missing a beat. Truly made heavy metal history that night!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Tommy Johansson. He is the band leader of Majestica,..not Majestic, don't forget the a😄. Tommy is a multi talented super musician who plays guitar, bass drums, keyboard piano flute and lately the accodeon. Plus he is an insane singer. Majestica is his own band, his day job is the guitarist of Sabaton...as Marina pointed out already. That mad wizard bass player is Chris David, never seen anyone faster on the bass. It is the Christmas season and Majestica has a Christmas album absolutely worth checking out. All the rest I can say was already said by the rest of the Tommy squad ( Marina and Carina)😄😄. If you have time next month, you simply must react to a song from Majestica's Christmas album based on the Dickens novella. I would suggest either "Ghost of Christmas Past" or "Ghost of Marley." Past is a bit more interesting musically, imo, but the video for Marley is much better (and it's still musically interesting as well). Off to check out some of your covers now.
