Illinois State Training School Cemetery - Geneva, Illinois

I used to live in that training school in about 1972. At that time it was the Illinois State Training school for girls and boys annex!!! So when I was there boys were also living there!! I used to walk around the cemetery looking at the headstones. The boy names on some were baby boys that died after birth to the unwed girls that lived there at that time!! There are several infants buried there!!! Look at the dates of birth and death. Very old headstones/graves!!

I remember coming up on this place coming from the forest end and a year later I told my dad about how strange it was. We kept looking up on google earth trying to find it and I looked up historical Geneva cemeteries and found this. Thank you!

I’m wondering if those “men” buried there were the girl’s babies that didn’t survive long.
