Nice looking watering holes. Funny how curious deer are and how they check out freshly touched soil

Looks real nice and your eye for grade is getting much better. That is going to be a nice property for deer when it finishes growing the food plots.

The watering homes worked good cap. Nice job. Them Little duck ponds in the ditch will silt in. Consider them sediment traps👍
@kapperoutdoors4 жыл бұрын
lol probably right! But I'll still empty them. that's half the fun watching the water gush out :)

@@kapperoutdoors I used to put little rubber ducks in them for my operators. Don't know why but they never think that's funny. 😂😂😂

That 2nd water hole came out pretty nice. I'd say ole Kap knows a thing or two about picking out some water hole spots. Surprised the deer came out to check them out so fast. Full-watch.

Thanks bud, I'm always working on gettin better! Them deer are funny and sooo curious. They usually check them out immediately. I ought to start putting cams on the the first few days to see their 'finding' this new thing!! LOL. Take care.

Really nice job! I'm digging a water hole this weekend with tractor and backhoe. I started it couple weeks ago and want to improve upon it. Deer and turkey I've been seeing in it already. Again, great job and thanks 👍🏻

Try sprinkling a bag or two of bentonite clay over the floor of ur ponds then add several bags of leaves: the water logged leaves will sink and together with bent. Clay make a wonderful natural pond liner

Those ditches will fill your water holes up with sediment. In addition, you need sloping banks on your waterholes. Those steep banks will make it difficult for most wildlife to utilize the water source. Could even create a trap for some animals. Particularly fawns.

yes they are cool to watch, but very, very expensive, you need a much bigger machine, and they leave a ton of acidic debris, so getting things to grow is more challenging. There are lots of different ways to do different things. Thanks

had a question when you have certain spots of land that are alot greener than others. does that mean the terain is holding the water underground closer to the surface? or is water more capable of gathering and staying there because of the soil?
@stevenpeters25934 жыл бұрын
Mr. Capper why not can you buy this property for lease ? So people can pay you for hunt land ? That’s mine opinion!
