I feel so sorry for Lesly! The father and the brother were both biased jerks who pretended the daughter never existed in the family while the dad only cares about his son's football game and his victory over his daughter winning a writing competition. If Blake had a big game, then why couldn't the dad also take Lesly to the game? Worst thing is that the dad made his daughter walk home which is a pain. People who get neglected by their family grow up angry and start hating everybody because of their lack of love from family when they were younger. If I was Lesly and I was neglected by my family, I would of just run away from home. Also, even if the Professor convinced the father and son to treat Lesly like she's welcomed in the family, if I were Lesly, I would never forgive them for what they just did and probably even take a pie and throw in the dad and brother's face for neglecting her.

Verbally assault me even physically, mock at me ....treat me so bad that I feel useless..... I can never forgive them. Never ...even if it is the end of the world . @@GhostEdlts There was a radio PSA on Radio 4(later Traxx FM), where a daughter asked her mother whether she could take a break and Mum said no, not until she did well in the tests and exams. That put the daughter off and she said "Is that all I'm good, studies, exams and results?" to which Mum asked her to talk to her dad. And Dad obliged her plus daughter said" Just the 2 of us?" whereas Mum quipped" Hey, what about Me?". This is mostly for Malaysian families but it is a universal message!!

I always feel like this (as the older sister) my mom and dad got divorced when i was 3 years old because my dad found out my mom was cheating on him so he left us and my mom married the guy she was cheating on right after they divorced...and when i had a new sister and brother my mom and stepdad always compared me with their friends kids or my siblings or classmates/friends and they always say "oh why can't you be like _____" or "arent you embarassed that your younger siblings is smarter than you?" Or something like that..and because im the oldest i have to give up my stuff to my siblings or gave my food to them and sum like that and i always got blame for everything and it's pretty annoying...i always felt like this since I was 3 and i really hate everybody but not only that i have family issue i can't trust no one anymore...everytime i date somebody they date me to make their ex jealous or because its a dare or they will prob cheat on me and i have no real friends to i feel like i can't trust no one anymore...i always cry everyday wondering why my life sucks so much:/

Here in England, competitive sport is everything. It's reported just after the really important news. I get the feeling America is even more gung-ho for games and physical feats. The father was a fool for preferring the son over the daughter in the beginning, which was done by him as a parent to act like that without thinking about his daughter's feelings and how his attitude was hurting her. Even her brother was no different, instead of being on her side to support her he looked to brag in front of her and get all the attention for himself. It's a good thing he was her professor to deliver the wonderful news to her family and make them realize how badly they treated her and how wrong they were. Parents should not have preferences towards their children and choose one child over the other, as children deserve to be treated equally by their parents and given equal unconditional love and support within the family. 😌
