New band for me, going to see them tomorrow as an opener so I was listening to some songs, and this one comes on and I'm like... "this is giving off strong DT Images and Words vibes" even though this band doesn't seem to sound like them at all from what Ive otherwise have listened to. Good stuff! Images and Words is my all time favorite album

I stumbled upon the single for Hymn earlier today before the music video premiered. I was immediately blown away by the first track on the single, "The Horizon Awaits." I was not expecting this kind of sound. And then the main song, "Hymn." Wow, it made me feel like a modernized version of Images & Words-era Dream Theater. This guitar solo is glorious. This morning I've listened to some of Illumishade's previous releases and I love it so far. What a great and lucky find!

I'm so glad I checked out this song on a whim last weekend. It didn't wow me at first, but I liked it enough to check out more and ended up going down the Illumishade rabbit hole. Coming back around to this song, I like it even more, especially the flow and variation. Also, the way Fabi's voice takes off for the second verse feels amazing.
