The "Spiral Tool" is definitely a useful major addition to Affinity Designer. I got to play with it during beta testing. But for what I do, getting some lingering bugs (involving bleeds on artboards) sorted out was a bigger improvement. I was happy to see artboard bleeds working as expected when I received v2.3 BETA RC-2 on 28-29 November. I was pleasantly surprised when the finished update was released today.

I really wish they would do a vector trace option. It would be great if they'd do that and have it match Illustrator or Vector Magic inside Designer.

at 3:39 you missed a quick way to turn off the pixel grid right there on the drop down menu

No most likely not until future versions come out (affinity designer 3.0) they are still working on getting more basic functions over before a fancy extension like auto trace is introduced... Either way as artists or professionals the trace tool even in programs like Adobe give useless results. Try Inkscape if you want to see what I mean, it's more of a posterize effect than trace

Pixel grid, great for pixel art. Too bad, they will never add animation to their apps, hopefully they add it in the future, so I can drop Aseprite right away, lol.

Aesprite is sensational for pixel art though? What makes you so unhappy with aesprite to want to work in affinity?
