Well said brother. This is very minimum for now. The problem is mainstream Islamic thought, that has cowardly retreated into issuing fatwas over irrelevant and unimportant issues - while ignoring the most important foundational pillars of Islam.
@abduking.12 күн бұрын
I disagree with the first part. The point of calling people kafirs and mushriks and so on is because some ideologies are blatantly threatening to our way as Muslims. Such a like the quranist who blatantly have an agenda to change islam into some liberal ideologies. there creed was created to dissolve the moral integrity as muslims. I'll give you an example. As being gay specifically is not mention as haram in the quran (even with the example of lut they twist it to say the gayness wasnt wrong somehow), quranist use that to justify homosexuality. They twist verses and manipulated the people into thinking the haidths are inauthentic even tho the quran was preserve the exact same way. if we dont call out this behaviour we will have no religion period. the same goes for other non muslims sects like the ahmedis and the very extreme shia and sunni. I agree with everything else tho 100%

The answer or part of it ,is that we need both Islamic and Western education.the first one for our deen and the second to understand and participate fully in global matters. I don't have the answer to all of it,but grassroot education might be the answer. Some communities still refuse to educate their women in any education at all,and yet women are the first teachers in a child's life. Of course individuals should do their bit. Yes,less emotional intelligence and more of practical intelligence if there's anything of that nature. A brilliant talk indeed.Jazakumlai kairan

@YukonMonamee7 ай бұрын
I agree we need western educational material to know our enemy and combat them and help to protect ourselves but the suggestion that muslim women need to be "educated" by means of secular curriculums is false, folly and absolutely foolish. This is why you do not see families teaching thier daughters western material. A woman's place per Quran and sunnah is in the home and the inner most sanctum of her home grants her the same reward as a man who prays in congregation within the masjid. Girls need to learn thier religion and be kept in side thier homes. Not in classrooms and colleges where they talk like kuffar, dress like them to fit in out of insecurity and fickle honor. It is compulsory for boys and girls to be educated but each curriculum should be tailored for each sexes particular needs. Men are the ones to go out in the world and try and change it so western education should be only learned with great tailoring by islamic teachers to avoid false ideas and deviance. For example even in the Muslim world amongst doctors and the medical perfessions the ideas of evolution wa authoobillah permeate the literature that muslim doctors are granted thier degrees upon and this is a grave mistake and error. So in general islamic education is THE first and most important thing as it teaches us how to do everything right. We study the occidents so we can defeat them and nothing more.

To be frank, after the Sack of Baghdad in 1258, that semblance of unity was gone. Sure, there was a branch of the Abbasids which fled to Mamluk-controlled Cairo, but the Muslim world no longer recognized the de-jure suzerainty of the caliph. Even within the Mamluk realm, the Jumu'ah Khutbahs mentioned the names of the Mamluk sultans, not the Abbasid puppets. And the story of the Cairo-based Abbasids transferring power to the Ottomans? There's no proof of that. But even if you can find solid proof, you can't argue that the Ottomans were accepted as the universal caliphs. Muslim rulers from as far as India (Mughal), Indonesia (Yogyakarta) and Nigeria (Sokoto) contested their claim. That alone is sufficient proof. My point is: let's not subscribe to ahistorical narratives. We must be realistic, work hard, and leave the rest to Allāh.

@@Muslim-ks4bd Yes, but even under the Mamluks the Abbasids caliphate was a respected institution, we had the Indian Sultan Muhammad bin Tughlaq seeking recognition from the Caliph. Yes after the sack of Baghdad the central authority of Muslims was weakend and many different states claimed the title of Caliph contesting the Ottomans, however this highlights that each state emphasized and sought legitmacy from Islam, and saw themselves as part of the Ummah as opposed to now where we see Muslim states dis carding their Islamic identity and becoming secular and nationalistic.

Football and all other time wasting distractions make us waste our time and drive us closer to idolise the Unbelievers. We even have pictures of them on our walls. Love Allah SWT, His Nabee, the Ummah. Love Islam and be true Muslims, living for the pleasure and satisfaction of Allah SWT alone. Love for Allah and hate for Allah. Remove the love for the Kuffaar and for this Duniya from our hearts. Love death because it is the inevitable door to reach Allah, and be never afraid of the Kuffaar. Let's have real trust in Allah. Follow the footsteps of Rassoul Lullah SAW, the Sahaaba, and the true Muslims and Imaams that followed them. Then we move on. We do not need to wait for one step to be completed to move on to the next. Once we believe in Allah SWT and His beloved Nabee, Muhammad SAW, that's it. Let's each individual or group do what he is best at. Let's live with love and compassion among us. May Allah SWT bless and protect us all and grant us victory. But remember Allah SWT will wipe out those who persistently commit sins and the hypocrites. If we are in this category, then we can wait for the calamity of Allah SWT to come to us. If we fail in our love for Allah, know that He is able to replace us with a fresh creation who loves Him and whom He will love. The Palestinians showed to the world how dearly the love and trust Allah SWT.

@7:32 As you rightly mentioned, we should start to look at ourselves as individuals -what are we doing 'right', what are we doing 'wrong' to ourselves, and truly assess and filter out our personal lives, upbringing and choices. Aside from all the painful tragedies and corruption that has plagued the Muslim world and communities, it was for me a personally shattering, soul wrenching experience that unravelled a lot of things for me, and changed the way I look at everything -I can only describe it as God really putting me in a situation to wake up, look at my surroundings and not trust certain people who are now NO longer in my life! It has been 3 years since it happened ( and it coincided with the 2020 lockdown as I found myself 'stuck' abroad in a significant Muslim country that proved NOT to be my home, not a safe haven in anyway!) I came back to the UK and it's still a journey that God is taking me on every day, but after that experience in what is a foreign (Muslim) country, it has taught me to be very discerning, and careful of 'spiritual or religious ' claims, gatherings and those that claim or put on a cloak of 'hyper-religiosity'. The situation on a collective/group level is so complicated, but the British Muslim communities we need to be nore discerning of those that claim to 'represent us' when they only represent their own ideological agendas -yes they are Muslim, but we can't simply walk behind any individual with a 'gift of the gab', can perform well and give powerful speeches and knows how to quote some Quranic ayats and Ahadeeth while other well intentioned but unassuming Muslims don't know any better! If we start to work on ourselves as individuals, including working out any hidden or unknown traumas we may have faced in our past, our childhoods, and revisiting our personal 'family trees' that could be a step forward. And before we pray for Palestine to be free, we need to 'free ourselves' first, and also recognise that on a more international level, although the issues in the Arab world to the Uyghur and Rohinyga* Muslim communities are painful to know about and watch, that it those people living in those regions, with the ability, resources and skill set that can actually bring about change there, not a British Muslimah like me, nor 'Ali' from New York, who even if we want to, we are still foreigners, outsiders and don't know the culture, history nor customs to support change there. Change should start at home first. This may be unpopular, but I've never been popular and that's ok.

Many great points made Bro.... 100 years of Misery has to change for our Ummah, A Revival of the Religious Sciences a la Ghazali style..... We also need to stand behind and support the Axis of Resistance and quit this Sectarian divisive narrative. Shia/Sunni we are all one.

We shouldn’t unite on injustice and oppression. The axis of resistance has engaged in heinous crimes throughout the Levant. So we shouldn’t support oppressors. We need to break away from these actors and take steps back into becoming role model muslims. We need to uphold the Quranic form of justice holding firmly onto it irrespective of your allegiances: “O believers! Stand firm for justice as witnesses for Allah even if it is against yourselves, your parents, or close relatives.” (4:135) “Whenever you speak, maintain justice -even regarding a close relative.” (6:152)

that is what im saying, they kill a lot of Muslims especially sunnis in that region, maybe even more, i dont think they will just hand out power to the sunni when "all these madness ends", they literally wants to make a Shiites caliphate and even Ayatollah and their generals themselves said their target is not Al Quds but Makkah and Madinah, they want to take over Islamic world and turn everyone in to Shiites and take revenge on what happen 1000 years ago. GO FIGUR! They already did that after Saddams fall, look how many Sunni were killed after Saddam's falls?@@Muhiz23

I would say the best thing we can do is be willing to sacrifice more for Islam. Had the Muslims been willing to sacrifice and endure hardship for the sake of Islam, we would be far stronger and stable. Instead we are more willing to sacrifice on Islam for temporary material gains. The best example of this is that because of what Afghans were willing to sacrifice, neither communism nor westernism could be imposed on them. On the other hand a country far weaker than Soviets or USA (Israel) has been able to dominate a people more numerous and materially stronger than the Afghans (Arabs) because those people are worried about the economic reports of their own country than the plight of Muslims next door. I spit in the face of the cowards who call themselves an "army" from the countries surrounding Palestine.

I think it’s fairly simple to say. Just like the Muslim world 100 years ago, and the Muslim world now. Very little are willing to lose their entire lively hood to cushion the umma. I for one think it is time to revisit the philosophy of what a Muslim is in today’s world and not some Blessed by Allah SWT entrepreneur. The solution to the problem in hand is no less a sacrifice of generations. There is no gain, not even for the next 100 years until the fundamental foolishness and desire for the world is undermined in the Muslim world.

What's worse is we have the fitnah (internet) all around us. I firmly believe it's one of the reasons the Muslim ummah is now divided. The dirt shown online consumes us and allows us to become addicts, we hence lose our faith and start becoming less religious, which leads to the cycle of Allah's help not coming to us. I think collectively as an ummah we need to isolate ourselves from the internet, take a step back, and reflect on how we spend and utilize our time. Do we spend it in our knowledge of deen/dunya, or solely for our entertainment? What differentiated the shahabs during the time of the prophet Muhammad (phub) and why their time was considered gold was their sacrifice. They gave in all of their worldly desires too there deen/akhirah. They were the embodiment of discipline. Nowadays we can't see ahead of our quick desires and we no longer strive for the next life. Rather, we are in the delusion of this worldly enjoyment, which Allah says lasts only a few seconds in the long run. I hope we all wake up...before it's too late.
@hyquiemistheg.o.a.t16719 ай бұрын
I’m surprised you blame the internet. Not only did it not expose Islam on a higher level than the last century, but it also passed an uncountable number of information about Islam. If by this logic we consider times where trains and trade were new things, then Muslims would’ve blamed newspapers and said they are spreading fitnah. I think it’s more of the selfish gains the Muslim world has become opportunistic towards. Which again is not due solely because of the internet. The lack of fundamental collective consciousness of Allah by the Muslim world is more to blame than any new invention.

@@mimimiraj7351 You sound Shiites. The Shiites and the Wahhabis are both two misguided sects, one of them worse than the other, and they resemble each other in many things. For example, the Wahhabis take their religion from the Ash'aris, the Maturidiyya, and the Mufada, and they're ninety-nine percent of the Sunni scholars, but they believe that these scholars are Sufis who worship graves, polytheists, and Kufar, and the Shiites take their religion from Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Qummi, Nimatullah Al-Jazairi, Al-Fayd Al-Kashani, Ahmad bin Mansur Al-Tabarsi, Muhammad Baqir Al-Majlisi, Al-Mufid Muhammad bin Muhammad Al-Numan, Abu Al-Hasan Al-Amili, but all of these scholars believe that the Holy Qur’an is distorted ( Muharaf ), meaning that they are Kufar, and one of the similarities between them is also that Wahhabis believe that the religion of Islam was lost only two centuries after the death of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and that people returned to worshiping idols again and associating others with God until the heroic savior Ibn Taymiyyah came in the seventh century and the only sheikh of Islam, so he returned the people to monotheism, but after he died, the religion of Islam was lost once again, another period of another five hundred years, and the people returned to worshiping idols again, until the second savior hero came, the mass-murderer bin Abdul-Wahhab, who killed the Sufis for a full fifty years and returned the people to monotheism. Likewise, the Shiites believe that the religion of Islam was lost after the first day of the death of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and that the people of Sunnis stole it and still lost to this day. I believe they're both very dumb, these two misguided sects forgot that God promised to preserve His religion and His last message until the Day of Resurrection.

Our problems stem from us being made distant from Islam; not in our aqeedah but in the systems we choose for life’s solutions. Our ruling, economic, social and educational systems are all foreign to Islam but we are fooled into ignoring these blatant facts.

You're very right, brother. As Muslims, we have to realize that it's an obligation on us to teach ourselves, our children and our families both past and present history as affects Muslims and the Islamic world. This is a significant part of what the zionists want us to neglect, and unfortunately they've succeeded to a large extent. But it's still not late for us to retrace our steps and regain the lost glory. We must continue to teach the Sirah of the Prophet (S.A.W.) and true Islamic and world history both past and present to our children, families and in our schools and universities' curricular.

Good view and suggestions. Quran says, that there are those who say they believe in Allah, but they believe not. Have Muslims ever pondered on this Ayah, that it may be applied to them selves and the majority of Muslims as well? Allah promised to protect the believers in Islam; and reflecting on what is happening in the world, is that promise false, or, or, or, is majority of Muslims on a false path, wrongly supposing that they believe?
